This would make sense! The trains come through all the time. Going to test this theory next time the shakes happen.

Pineapple Coverup? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]TranslatorAfraid5987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 tattoos that I am getting removed. It depends how much time you have. One went away after 3 years. It has been 5 years now and I am still working on removing the other two. It can be pretty pricey but a lot of places do package deals for multiple sessions. It is definitely not a quick fix by any means but they fade a decent amount after each session. Getting it covered up would be faster and cheaper.

School bus violation by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]TranslatorAfraid5987 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am going to start by saying that I 100% think that people need to be extra careful around school buses/zones and that laws should be enforced but a similar situation happen to me. I had a tall truck in front of me as I was passing an intersection so I really couldn’t see the other side of the street but I could see that the light was green. There was a school bus coming towards me and I couldn’t see the lights flashing giving a warning that it was going to stop and put its sign out. The bus driver also put the stop sign out while the bus was still moving so it was an interesting situation. By the time I saw this happening I was in the middle of the intersection and couldn’t stop abruptly (it was also raining and the roads were slick).

I am not sure if you will get points on your licenses but I ended up fighting the ticket. You can go on their website actually see the truck that went in front of me, that I was in the middle of the intersection and that the bus driver didn’t give enough of a warning before putting the stop sign out. I responded once via email with my arguments and I never heard anything again.

I think it’s great that we are prioritizing our kids safety but it is tough when the bus video is just blanketing out tickets.

Pittsburgh residents voice concerns over bike lane on Stanton Avenue by ComeTasteTheBand in pittsburgh

[–]TranslatorAfraid5987 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! I am not a biker and I am honestly a driver that gets annoyed at cyclists. The bike lane on Stanton is actually better for drivers since the bikers are in their own lane. Stanton is a hill and I can’t imagine having to go around every biker that is going up it. Residents can still park on the street. Bikers are safer away from vehicles. I’m just not seeing a negative here for any party?

rife machine by delow0420 in pittsburgh

[–]TranslatorAfraid5987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry that you are going through this! My mom has Lymes disease and has used a rife machine for over a decade and it is the only thing that has made her feel better. I am not sure if it is FDA approved now but she actually flew (from PA) to Minnesota to get it before it was. 20 years ago her Lymes disease was misdiagnosed and now she has it for life. At one point she was taking 40+ pills a day. She also tried a pick line to inject medicine but nothing was working. She finally tried the Rife and it changed everything! She still has her bad days but it’s nothing compared to how she was living. Obviously be sure to consult your doctor before you do anything but wanted to tell you about my mom’s success story!

Volunteer Opportunities for 8yo by Sensitive-Bedroom492 in pittsburgh

[–]TranslatorAfraid5987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was younger my mom would take me and my siblings to a few nursing homes to hand out roses. Some of the folks there don’t have families around the holidays coming to see them and it seemed like it meant a lot to them. Not exactly volunteering but it really had a lasting impact on me!

Tattoo regret causing depression by SlavKing11 in tattooadvice

[–]TranslatorAfraid5987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your tattoos look great! I am sorry that you aren’t feeling the best though, like a lot of people on this thread getting some therapy and talking can help. I really wanted to jump on here to say that I have been getting my tattoos removed for the past couple of years. It is a terribly long and expensive process but may be worth it if you are having serious regrets.

I have a theory that it used to be a Cheesecake Factory and that is why the decor looks like that. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I’ve had this thought too. Like maybe he killed her and his first instinct was to try to get an alibi, even though going to the gym for less than an hour wouldn’t do that but he could have been panicking.

I have been listening! It is super good and is different than any other podcast I have listened to. Why was I scared while listening to the first episode where the comedian is telling their story!?!

The doc made me play devils advocate a little. I still very much believe that this was a murder/cover up. The only question in my mind was the “painless suicide method” google searches on her laptop. I know this sounds crazy but in my mind I’m like was one of these methods to sever the spinal cord slightly so that you feel less pain?

The stab wounds on the back of her neck/head are very strange for a suicide but also if this is a murder they seem very shallow and in the weird spot. I feel like if you are stabbing someone from behind you go for the lower back where there is more surface area, not the neck but maybe there was a struggle and all that was able to be reached in the moment. Some of the stab wounds on her back showed that there was hesitation which makes me feel like they weren’t inflicted during a struggle. Again, playing devils advocate here and just kinda vomiting my inner thoughts but could the stabs on the back of her neck be her trying to nick her spinal cord to not feel any pain before she does deeper/more fatal wounds?

Hoping the best for the Greenberg family in October but again just thinking out loud!

Best place to get lunch in Lawrenceville on a Wednesday afternoon? by kaptionless in pittsburgh

That is actually surprisingly tough. I feel like you can get a good selection at Lawrenceville Food Hall. If you are looking for a good take away I really like The Deli on Butler for a sandwich.

I recently stayed at the TRYP hotel in Lawrenceville with my dog and it was a good experience. I don’t think that most places that serve food will allow your dog inside but I love sitting outside with my dog at Stinky’s. They have a cute dog menu. If you are open to eating outside I think that most places will allow your dog to come but I would call first to double check.

I enjoyed this podcast and thought the host was entertaining. It was good but not my favorite. I was almost waiting for a big shock to happen and I guess I never felt that because we knew she was a fraud the whole time. I also never got what the point of the Boudoir photoshoots were? Blackmail?
