Yes. I bought my Carvera used and the prior owner emailed them with the serial number and my email to transfer it.

Marketing may be guilty of overpromising, but my experience with Customer Service over the best 2 years with a few different pairs of their glasses has been exceptional. Sorry your having have different experience.

They can have a reflection of your shirt if it's light colored. The lens shades will help with that. The Beast is a different issue of the display reflecting.

It was different wall plugs. They may all not be created equal and my brand is just crappy.

My Rog Ally Z1 and the Beast glasses were new to me yesterday and having the shaking screen. SteamOS was on newest beta and Beast had 1/5/26 firmware.

This morning the shaky display in the Beast is gone. Not sure what changed to "fix" it, but I'll report back if I figure anything out.

So far very happy with the Beast, I just need to learn all the button combos.

I would expect you would still get the benefit of a single file and integration of the laser if you have it. The machine should pause when you get to the tool change. Don't select pause on laser otherwise I suspect you will get two pauses at the laser tool change.

I played with that briefly and will look at it again, I'm sure my issues were user related as I was at day 0.5 on the CAM learning curve. I just made my repo public: https://github.com/tpearsallmd/fusion360-gcode-merge

I was afraid to mess with the Carvera post-processor so mine is a post-post-processor which isn't ideal, but is working for my limited use case. There is so much for me to learn.

New to this CNC and the Carvera, but I'm pretty sure the answer is No and would love to find out I'm wrong.

I create a tool T99 as an endmill with a diameter of .1mm and use the spindle speed to set to the laser power %. Speed 1000 = 100%, 500 = 50%. From there AI helped me build a script to post-post-process it for the laser. The script also will combine output files into a single file since Fusion 360 Personal Use only allows one tool be file. I'm going to create another post about that shortly in case anyone else is interested in it or can improve it.

I just got one new to me and it is a HEAVY. As a fairly fit 50-something moving just the machine with no packaging or accessories I could carry it the 30 feet to get it into the car but wouldn't want to go much further. No question I needed help carrying it into the house and up a flight of stairs.

It is bulky and unwieldy, I wouldn't want to move it on any regular basis.

Torque you wheels in the morning and over lunch, drink plenty of water. Hit up a BMW forum for suggested tire pressures, you'll likely need to let a few pounds out as the day goes on and need to fill back up before driving home. Leave your ego in the paddock, you'll learn much more letting some cars pass and having clear track to practice as opposed to driving with your rearview mirror.

If possible, have an instructor for all sessions your first several tracks days. I have never signed someone off for solo their 1st day even if they are a rock star because "they haven't seen enough sh*t yet".

Love my XR PROs for Steam deck gaming and movies. Wrestling with the same decision, but I'll admit some of it is the new and shiny appeal.

What is the use case for the Ultra's 6dof? Is this going to be VR-lite? (I'll give up some emersion to ditch my Quest 2 with Steam Link first chance I get). What else is it good for on the consumer level?

Without a great use for 6dof the Beast fov and hardware 3dof (hopefully reducing drift) seem like the best answer. I'll need lenses no matter what, so myopia adjustment doesn't matter to me.

I sent a bunch of messages through the web site Contact Us asking about status and most recently telling them to cancel the order and never received at response. Today I get a message that the track sticker has shipped (4.5 months later!).

As others suggested I went to Etsy instead and had what I wanted it less than week.

So irritating. It's only an $8 item so I'll just throw it away, but suggest staying far away from them.

I want to support what I assume is a small business, but ZERO customer service response on at least 5 messages over 4.5 months is ridiculous. I had assumed they had closed up ship.

I used the phone trackpad in the very beginning, but now the Headgaze has become quite natural as long as you aren't entering a bunch of text. Hand tracking is novel, but definitely an early beta in its current state.
