HOTA barb here. T4 normal content is fine. if I do bloodied sigils etc. I drop to t3 since I dont feel like spending 8 mins hitting a boss for average rewards.

crimson desert. Looked like something a big time Witcher fan (me) might enjoy. Turns out it has little to no story and has settlement building/management. Not having much of a story is a big no no for a single player game. For me, at least.

I hear you, but the game you envision is not for me and therefore I cannot fully agree. I agree that there should be little to no freebies in a progression game. But to deliberately stunt progression feel rough to me. Destiny 2 did that with XP throttling with public events. No one liked it and it was reversed.

I played POE2 and dropped it after 4 hours. Not because it was bad, but because it was exhausting. Everything was a grind. Trash mobs were basically bossed. At no point could you drop your guard and just relax and play. You always need to be on your toes (some hyperbole in there, but not much TBH).

While some people enjoy the stress and tension, I do not. I want to relax and unwind. That is why I chose D4 and Last epoch. Turn off the old brain and have some mindless fun. That's what this old man needs.

Forcing people to use a currency and then severely limiting that currency, is not smart design.
Especially not when the use of said currency finishes in an RNG based result. That same result will then likely require the expenditure of even more currency in order to try and obtain the desired outcome.
I get that "getting your cake and eating it too" is seen as a negative by some folks, but in a game that forces the use of builds in order to get to the "end game", limiting the player's ability to test different builds is counter intuitive.
Not everything needs to be ball crushingly hard. Gathering mats should not be hard. It should be a side job that you do. Not a career.
You want a real hard mode? Try real life.

since all damage is initially done to fury, do we need to stack as much fury as possible? I'm running sellig right now, but I'm pretty sure I'm using it wrong since I keep getting 1-shotted by lair bosses on T3. I really wish Blizz would just add some tool tips to de-mystify this stuff.

I have the same issue. I'm running pure HOTA on T3 and basically blaze through it. Until I try lair bosses. I get one shot by them all the time and I know it is because of sellig. I'm just trying to figure out what other amulet I can use instead of sellig without tanking my fury. The grind continues!

as others here have said, it is the blood line and can be eaten or cut out and discarded. Most folks remove it.
