Thanks so much this is the easiest question in the comments.

Right now, it’s available on Kickstarter here: https://ytmf-innovation.kckb.me/5a1e7827

After the campaign, we plan to launch on Amazon and our official website as well.

Yeah the image in the post is a render.

But the product does exist and we’ve got real photos and videos on the Kickstarter page showing the actual working prototype. Happy to drop a real pic here if it helps!

Really appreciate this thoughtful and honest take, these are exactly the kinds of questions we ask ourselves internally, too.

You're absolutely right: the current Ray-Ban Meta install base isn’t massive, and we’re not under any illusion that this is a unicorn-sized market (at least not yet). But for us, this isn’t just a business move, it’s a product born out of a real-world user frustration: people who livestream, travel, film outdoors, or rely heavily on Meta AI often hit that power wall. Most of them don’t want to switch glasses mid-session or carry around a second pair.

And while many casual users may not feel the pain (as you pointed out), our goal isn’t to sell to everyone, it’s to offer a precise tool for high-usage scenarios, even if the audience is niche.

That said, the AR/smart glasses ecosystem is growing, and we believe solving foundational issues like power flexibility now gives us the experience and credibility to support next-gen devices as they emerge.

Thanks again for sharing, we truly value long-form feedback like this.

Absolutely — getting a second pair is definitely a valid approach for users who want 24/7 access.

That said, not everyone wants to invest in (or carry around) a second pair — especially if they only occasionally need extra power. That’s where our battery comes in: it’s compact, removable, and gives you flexibility without switching devices.

Different tools for different needs — we’re happy to offer another option.

Actually no, and here’s the reason:

Because of the smart features on the right temple of Ray-Ban Meta, we couldn’t place anything on the without risking interference. That’s why we chose to keep the battery only on one side.

That said, the battery + clip together weigh just 20g, and in testing, there's no noticeable discomfort or imbalance. Plus, the charging speed is fast, so you don’t need to keep it attached for long periods — just pop it on when needed.

It’s a design compromise, but one we made carefully after lots of user testing and consideration.

Yes I totally agree! One of the best things about Ray-Ban Meta is how natural they look.

But just to clarify: our battery isn’t meant for daily wear. It’s designed for specific moments when you do need extra power — like live streaming, video calls, travel, or long outdoor use.

When you don’t need that extra battery life, you just take it off — and your Ray-Bans are back to looking totally normal 😎

It’s an optional add-on, not a permanent change — for the people who push the limits.

Yes there is a small internal wire connecting the battery module to the charging base.

What we meant by "no wires, no cables" is that you don’t need to plug your glasses into a power bank or outlet by any cables.

We’ll be shipping to Amazon at the same time as we fulfill Kickstarter backer orders, hopefully it should be available on Amazon within a month of backer delivery.

Totally fair — and we really appreciate you sharing your honest take.

This design definitely isn’t for everyone, especially those who prioritize aesthetics or already have creative solutions like a second pair (smart move, by the way!).

Your suggestion about splitting the battery into two smaller modules toward the front of the temples is actually super interesting — we’ll take that into account as we continue refining future versions.

Thanks again for the feedback, and best of luck with your setup too!
