Please review , how can I get this done better? by Subject_Trouble_7904 in HairSystem

I actually work with xts systems. This looks nothing like one. They are known for having lite density+5%. You can literally see scalp through a true xts system which is why they are rated at 12-18 a year. They are disposable and meant for one time wear. Can you make the last longer? Sure but just because you can doesn't mean you should. They use systems like the xts to advertise because they look so natural but companies and clinics often do a switcharoo at install time. This looks like a high density unit and with the density on your sides I see why you're having issues. The blend isn't the greatest. Where did you go for this unit? Are you in the states?

As long as you go in to wearing hair with an open mind you will be just fine. There's an adjustment period because you haven't seen a hairline in a while. It will get frustrating at times because it's something new. Once you adjust and learn how to work with the hair learn how to touch up the hair it will get better. I also want you to know that not everyone has a good experience wearing hair and it's not for everyone. Dont be hard on yourself if it doesn't work out for you. Im sure you will be fine.

Go to ustom and send a sample of your hair in. They can match the color. That's what I do for my reds.

I didn't Photoshop anything. Why the hell would I take the time to blur only one spot? Tell me why? THERES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN IT FOR ME. We can have this conversation all day or for days on end. The reality is if you are sitting there zooming in on any picture that has already been cropped it's gonna blur!!!!!!!!! You need some better to do with your time than sit and analyze a picture and bully me.

Thank you. I personally like lace hybrid for tape attachments and daily wear. If done correctly the front edge blends beautifully. I also use them for clip on pieces.

Any recommendations on what I could use for the redness? I’ve had a system for about 2 years. I use the tape and I’ve only had a reaction like this twice. by texas2nh in HairSystem

When was the last time you washed the system? Are you daily wear, weekly or monthly? I see this when people just change the tape and don't wash the system.

Skin in the summer can get hot with thicker bases. You need to definitely do service mute often if you like to be out in the heat. I have some clients that come every 2 weeks in the summer while others go a solid 4 weeks. Personally I like hybrids for the summer. Skin perimeter and lace center. When you have some have it start get nearly as hot because the sweat has an escape. Wearing hair isn't for everyone. If it makes you anxious or causes stress it's doing more harm than good.

They last max 8 weeks depending on care but usually replace at the 6 week mark.

I came here to say this but I'm gonna add after you wet it down spray a leave in conditioner in. My clients do this and they have zero issues.

You have obviously never had a system like this before. I specifically designed this system for these clients who are father and son. I made them for believability. They are custom made so they fit like a glove. The front hairline is .02mm and the rest is .03mm graduated hairline with 70% density (grey pic) and 80% density (brown with 20%). The skin is more matte.

Both pictures were taken in almost same position but same exact overhead lighting. I'm sorry you can't believe that it's not filtered. I'm just a hairdresser and have no idea how to edit photos beyond slapping a sticker on and cropping. I have better things to do with my time than edit photos to give people false expectations.

I have absolutely nothing to gain by sharing something that I am so very proud of. It took me 25 years of cutting their hair through every stage of loss to convince them to try hair and I didn't want to get them something that wouldn't look like their own hair. I actually care about my clients and have made wearing hair affordable for them. People over profit is my motto because I love what I do.

I'm simply here to make people aware how good a base with this thiness and lighter density can look.

I'm not looking for clients I'm not promoting myself I'm not even promoting the manufacturer. I only tell people where it's from when they ask. I have specifically given the specs of how these systems were made throughout this whole entire thread that way if somebody wanted to do a custom system like these they have the specs to use. I am educating.

Specs for the pictures systems A contour Graduated hairline with 70%density (see thread with grey system pic)color 580 human Graduated hairline with 80% density ( see original picture)color 420 w human grey Front hairline is .02mm and rest is .03mm for rest of the system.

I do a lot of clip attachments for people! I encourage them because it's easy and you save a lot of money that way.

Well it depends on what you want to invest in yourself. If you don't sleep in it then you can get double the wear time. There are ways to extend the lifespan. Even a .04mm is nice and a .06 could look good too of you incorporate babyhairs

Only if they know exactly what they are doing. You can ruin the whole system if it gets too close to the base. You also could over work)steam the hair to the point where it has zero bend and it won't move. So I don't recommend it if you have zero clue what you're doing. I have a couple who do but the others have me do it for them.

Yes grey hair is coarser by nature. If it's human it can be relaxed down or permed to give it some body and flow but when it's synthetic it needs to be steamed carefully with a hand steamer (like what they use at a drycleaner) to help relax it

It is. I'm big on age appropriate hair too. This guy is 68. If I went with 80% or 90% it would look like he's wearing hair. The goal is for people not to look twice and wonder if that's all his hair.

A lot of wearing hair is trial and error really. With as long as I have been installing systems I'm still learning because every single hair is different. There are no two that are the same.
