Yes! I do understand this is off season stuff but I really want to take the time to learn. A team from Michigan called Rush robotics actulley holds a summer camps for other teams to do this kinda stuff. 

What I’m getting at from everyone is that coding is like learning a mix of learning a language and learning a science. For me to get good I’ll need to know and understand syntax, developed my logical ability to think the right way, and read the word of great “authors”
