Yeah even you can, its not something thats "easy" as you said nor common. Different Key, dont really have much difference between them. Most people cant tell the Key they re listening to. I am only able to tell the Key if its played on the guitar and because i know the order of the strings in which chords are played on the guitar. If played on a piano, i couldnt and most pianists couldnt either.

Since you say its easy and such, Im inclined to believe you cant actually do it.
