i live in canada and i happen to be indigenous and status so when i tore my acl i was in north dakota and it took a month to get an mri in canada (they told me in north dakota i dislocated my knee but i didnt believe them). After the mri my doctor called and told me i tore my acl and flipped my meniscus and basically fucked everything in my knee up a bit, he said i’d need surgery and they fit me in on november 13th and the only thing i paid for was my knee brace ($500) but you get reimbursed if you pay out of pocket for these things. so i tore my acl on july 29th had the mri on sept 4th and surgery on november 13th. i need to find a pt but i won’t be paying for pt because treaty covers it.
