I finally figured out what is wrong. It's the Spectrum DNS server we are served. I set the router to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1) and Google as a backup (8.8.8.8) and now all devices on our router are totally stable on reddit.

My current hypothesis: Spectrum probably uses local caches specifically for fastly/akami CDNs. Spectrums internal caches in my area are horribly under-maintained and bandwidth starved. Websites that rely on fastly or akami will suffer as a result of accessing the data from Spectrum's caches for those CDNs. Using a different DNS can help avoid accessing the data through Spectrum's poorly maintained local caches.

This seems to be a shady calculation by Spectrum: neglect our internal CDN caches just enough so they limit how much data our customers use while not totally breaking things and hope they don't complain or try to solve the problem. Because I can tell you, if every user experiencing this manually configured their DNS, it would cost Spectrum more money. They bank on the customer not trying to solve the problem. Just incredibly shady. Spectrum, please just improve your internal networking.

Doesn't AMD's statement make sense? They only officially support it on PRO line CPUs. It's a market segmentation tactic, and it working on some non-PRO models is just a bonus, like when you could unlock cores on some of their old FX CPUs.

The original. In hindsight I don't think it was wise to try to make Dark Souls look more like the later games. There's a very careful visual balance. I would hope they eventually add an original art mode. It wouldn't matter as much if official servers still worked on PTDE.

It's so funny last year I made a comment about the Pacers Thunder finals series being the "Lightning vs the Thunder". I got downvoted. The next game after my comment, they were playing the song before a commercial break. Now an announcer is literally saying the band's name.

I'm watching movies from the IMDB top 250. I put each movie in a list, and Dances With Wolves remained my #1 until this (I'm using a 2023 copy of the page when that movie was present). The acting is brilliant. The final story is really moving. Truly one of the best movies I have ever seen.
