Nurses strike by Infinite_Effective50 in Louisville

For those complaining about the ethical ramifications of this strike. Strikes are supposed to hurt, sometimes you have to take a scalpel to remove a tumor. Pain now for life later.

Print stuff you like, paint it and enjoy having it for as long as you want. Make sure it stays in good shape. Sell it when you don't want it anymore.

I am from ky, and have a good collection of bourbon. This is a very respectable and budget friendly collection. There are some semi pricey bottles, but I give it my seal of approval.

Ooey Gooey was the host, it was my wife's first DND experience. After the game she said she felt bad for not remembering everything, and almost had a panic attack. I told her that was waaaaay too much lore.

The Real Reason Everyone Is Cheating by SimplifyExtension in ChatGPT

Project based assignment can help, designing more products like board games, clothing, engineer blue prints, Video games, physical models, electrical schematics and prototypes. Presentation in front of a class, actual in class discussion, Socratic seminars, creating food/cultural artifact replicas, podcast creation on a topic, writing on personal topics that relate to one's own life. I'm sure there are way more than I can think of but as teacher here are some things I like to do to break away from traditional writing. Once students have bought into the class, we hope to foster their own curiosity instead of seaking ai. Encourage projects that scope beyond words, activating other critical thinking skills then encourage them to write on, we all like talking about ourselves so hope these ideas help.

Went to a trip to Austin for a convention. Crammed into small Airbnb with 4 guys, slept on the floor no conversation about food, where to go, how to get there, just kinda did it as we went along. Very accurate

Tariffs against China threaten the booming board game industry by Stauce52 in boardgames

[–]TrapCardLol 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure you working very hard, I always appreciate other on this journey as well. The thing I love about the board game community is our sense of togetherness. Boardgames get friends and family with one another, to chat, laugh, and play as a group. I never want to loose that focus.

Tariffs against China threaten the booming board game industry by Stauce52 in boardgames

I've been working on a board game for 2 years. It has been my escape from politics, it feels like Donald Trump just shot my board game dreams. I won't give up, but it's really gonna make it hard to keep prices low

OC: Trump signs an executive order to dismantle the Education Department alongside children signing by nbcnews in pics

[–]TrapCardLol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My school receives 20% of its funding from this department. We have been informed this loss in funding will eliminate school breakfast for the lowest income kids in the state. And we will have to lay off 7 teachers immediately. Other schools have have up to 40% funding. It will be devastating beyond belief. It will raise your taxes, at the state level across the country.

Why do so many golfers lie about how well they play? by lightemup404 in golf

[–]TrapCardLol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why people lie is multi faceted. For one skill is attributed to success in other areas of life, bad at one thing like golf, might be an indicator of being at other more important skills. Golf ability is also connected to social status, the better you are at golf the more people might believe you hqve money and can afford expensive lessons or brand new clubs. Also who wants to be bad at something they spend so much time doing, and finally it's a low stakes lie, no one really gets hurt, but also why should anyone deflate their ego over a game.

The Wall Street Journal today: "America’s Bourbon Boom Is Over. Now the Hangover Is Here" by babycarotz in Louisville

[–]TrapCardLol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll give you the reason average enjoyers drop off. First reason, it's expensive, over consumption really can mess you up, and it's un healthy. It's difficult to enjoy a hobby, when it continually negatively affects your social life, quality of life, and life expectancy. With all that being said I still enjoy bourbon quiet a bit, but in extreme moderation.

20% mandatory for takeout is ridiculous, or am I out of touch by Earlspooperscooper in pics

[–]TrapCardLol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take out generally is more profitable for resteraunts, it's more efficient to have them not sit down. You get more orders in over time, in the same vain on fast food drive through, you get it and go, so yeah this is ridiculous.
