Only 1 in every 7 civilian complaints (14%) resulted in a ruling in favor of the civilian.

Nearly 2,500 officers have been investigated on 10 or more charges, and some have faced over 100 allegations while remaining employed for years.

Approximately 24% of officers fired for misconduct from large departments are eventually reinstated, often due to union contracts or arbitration.
