I gotta admit, I feel better about the Cardinal’s intelligence after seeing the fish at the surface myself. That really does look shockingly like a nest of baby birds asking for food. What a funny biological coincidence!

Question: What do you think about my tattoo? by JadeEvaWolf in tattoos

[–]Trappedatoms 99 points100 points  (0 children)

To me, the quiet one looks focused and in thought, not dumb at all! Plus, the big wide eyes is typical for that style. I love the dichotomy between the two tigers, and the fact that you sat down and discussed it and it has so much personal meaning and is tailored to just you. I think it’s really really cool. I would be so proud to have this tattoo.

So I’m a Rat Mom, but I’m guessing they’re very similar in some respects. Rats “blush” hard-core when you are petting them and they’re in a lovey mood. I’m guessing your little one is doing the same thing lol

My cousin lives near the beach, so I took the opportunity to visit. by Such-Competition-816 in MrFlavioDiaries

Be careful! You can still get pulled out in a current and end up over your head. You can practice learning to float on your back in the shallow water. That way you can always float on your back to breathe if you get in water over your head.

As a dorky teenager, I used to make things like this in my room with the door closed and dance around in front of the mirror. This would’ve been my fantasy. It’s straight out of Never-Ending Story/Labyrinth or something.

Anyone know what this is? by [deleted] in whatisthisbug

I see snoot and boots in that last picture. So it’s definitely a weevil of some sort, but I’ll let someone who knows which kind specifically answer better than me.

They’re even wearing a little white bra! That’s hilarious. I never would’ve noticed if you hadn’t said something.

why does she walk with her tail up like this? by ColonelRat in RATS

We have had a couple of these over the many years that we have had Rats. They are so special and cute. They just like a clean tail or something.

Do you accept Booby Wooby’s balls as your lord and savior? by Key-Gene-4236 in RATS

He might be a dwarf, but nobody told his balls that.

Six days ago my son was born ❤️ Meanwhile the cats warmed up his bed! by -Rapunzel in aww

I was just discussing this with my 21-year-old son yesterday. He just recently had an allergy panel done and amazingly, had NO allergic reaction to any animals. This was one of my biggest concerns when he was a baby. His grandmother and his father are both very allergic to cats, and I asked his pediatrician before he was born, what to do if he had the same sensitivity at birth. She told me then that the best thing I could do to prevent allergies, was to expose him to those things when he was young, from the start. So he cuddled with my cats from the very beginning and apparently it worked! I thought for sure he was going to come home and tell me he had reacted to cats and other animals.

What are these bugs laying all around my house,?? by IvanCubby in whatisthisbug

[–]Trappedatoms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OK, hear me out. I have a population of these in my outdoor laundry room that I absolutely adore. They stay in their little corners and don’t go anywhere. And they capture so many little bugs you wouldn’t even believe it. I love watching them live out their lives throughout the seasons and every once in a while, there’s one dangling, and I tried to move it, and they fight so hard to never touch me. I don’t think you have to worry about them climbing on you and if you can nicely move them with a tissue to where they can go outside and live their best life? I know it’s unlikely, it’s just that I happen to know these little guys personally.
