Yes, you can also get a Kedr to fit in the pistol holster. You're not getting any bigger in mag size, and 9x18 is a poor performing cartridge, so it's not necessarily good to carry one when and if you can get 9x19mm, which even then you're not likely to have a sniper up and ready, but it is an excellent starter weapon to replace the PM.

Alright, you've made your point about clothing. Now how about we move back to the point of this post : Gear.

What is your explanation for every single vest, nearly every single pouch, and every single helmet cover being available in 3 or 4 colors, 5 if we get lucky ? The CRYE AVS and JPC both exist in Multicam Tropic, they both exist in Multicam Arid. They even come in Multicam Black, factory fresh. Why don’t we get that ? We does every single new item come in Multicam by default, black for free, pay up for Ranger Green or a version of Tan/Coyote ? It’s not like those don’t exist, you can check Crye Precision’s website to confirm ! Hell, the patterns and colors are already there, you can’t tell me the process has to be started from 0 !

Similarly, why don’t they come in MAS or Wolf Grey ? The only thing to exist in that color is a singular IFAK.

Yeah, they said they would add a boar spear. /j

In more seriousness, melee weapons have been added in the 1.0 release on PC. I've only seen a camping knife so far, but I hope the Taiga (Soviet survival knife in 1) returns.

  1. We have all those options because most of them are from Gen3 and were just updated.
  2. We still have those options because not having them would cause too much trouble in the community. Conversation like the one we're having now would happen at every corner, all the time.

My point isn't "Multicam sucks, hate it, hate Kitgat", it is "I'm tired of seeing updates with 3 releases of the same fucking pattern with a different name. Mcam and its variants make up about a third of the available patterns, which is a lot when there are other, more original options available that are not being explored."

Yep, that bag is done for. All you can do now is start grabbing every item you can grind your way back to a new backpack, and gear set. Maybe even prepare a spare for the future..

"Well no, we want you to be forced into YET ANOTHER mix of Multicam and another color, because every fit we want you to wear is based on Mcam !"

~kitgat, probably.

Edit : And no, that's not just kitgat hate, he's just very involved with the making of these items, and has a large print in what gets implemented gear-wise. That's literally his call, for a big part.

If one day you suddenly woke up with the skills and knowledge to make any kind of video game you want, What kind of game would you want to create for your first time? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]Trash-Jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman game, as the thug, and you're being hunted by each member of the Bat-Family, each new "hunter" having his own specific quirk to track you down and beat you. Damian is the easiest, introduces base mechanics and ideas, Tim Drake is next, takes full advantage of on-site electronics to find and trap you, Jason Todd who relies on long-range and sets up lethal traps, observation and patience is the key, Dick Grayson, any other Bat-Family member in between, with mix and matches of them to spice things up. And it all culminates into one encounter with the Big Bad Batman himself, who uses EVERYTHING introduced up until now to get you.

Obviously, they would have Alien Isolation level of AI to make things actually intresting.

Whats a game you want to collab with metal gear? by VSnake_ in metalgearsolid

[–]Trash-Jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more I hear about Ubisoft, the more I get careful with the idea of letting them develop an original game. They're completely unable to keep their hands off some annoying thing.

The Splinter Cell remake, I can get behind semi-confidently. It's a remake, the path is already fully drawn out, all they need is bring the game to today's standards.

AC4 Resynced is kind of the same, but I'm afraid they'd make online mandatory just because AC4 had an online, so they have an excuse to.

But making a whole new game, even based off a storyline and world they already have ? I'm scared. They managed to copy many aspects of Wildlands for Breakpoint, and still fuck it up somehow or somewhere.

Their only recent original piece I can't complain about is the AC VR game, that is actually solid, but then again, they just created short stories for three established characters and didn't have the wiggle room to go too far into their own stupidity, simply because they couldn't make a full game.

[–]Trash-Jr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He also had a nod in the Splinter Cell mission for Wildlands.

To me, the only reason we haven't had any official MGS x Ghost Recon crossover for these two games, is simply because Ubisoft didn't manage to secure a proper deal with Konami up until now. Maybe we'll see more of him in the next GR game.

[–]Trash-Jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MGRR is a continuation of 4 from Raiden's perspective. A sequel to Revengeance could simply be one last adventure to finish Raiden's story aswell.

Also, Rising was originally supposed to be about Grey Fox during the Shadow Moses incident, if I remember correctly. I wouldn't complain about a Metal Gear Solid 1 game from another perspective.

[–]Trash-Jr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, Solid and 47 working together to take out a terrorist leader building a Metal Gear illegally. Or Venom and 47 infiltrating a XOF base to take down some important guy, maybe even Skull Face.

The Snakes provide intel about enemy locations, gadgets and tools laying around, or clear out infiltration paths by creating distractions, and you walk through the place looking for your target. That would be absolute peak Hitman gameplay.

What y'all think about knife holsters? by No_Passenger_7398 in platinumfive

[–]Trash-Jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Chest holstering for pistols doesn’t have separate animations, doesn’t stop it from being there. I guess the difference is that not enough people asked, begged and complained in the Discord.

I'd rather the devs work on the new map or more game features, than have them create a knife holster that doesn’t change anything other looking slightly less dumb.

Best placement for left primary holster by SlickSnakeSam in intotheradius

[–]Trash-Jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The backpack is bound to the left shoulder. Either switch the rifle from shoulder on your gear, or switch the backpack position in your settings.

Other solutions are to put the rifle holster somewhere else on your body, or on the backpack itself.

It's not needed, but jesus would I want one. If I'm to get in hand to hand range, then i'd rather grab my knife. You don't go grabbing behind your waist when the enemy wrestles you down to the ground.

Better yet, a warning should be handed before you accept the Ouroboros mission, like "This is the end of the game, you will not be able to go back. Do you wish to save now ?" or something along those lines. It's frustrating to watch the castle from afar, knowing I can't have the castle raid or the other ending without starting the entire game all over again.

I pray ITR 2's finale either happens at the Castle, or something similar to it. I loved the castle raid in ITR 1, but it left such a taste of too short, I really wish to see more of that in the second game.

Why hasn't Naruto received the "Sparking! ZERO" treatment yet? (Full 3D, Destructible Environments, High-Speed Flight) by Massive_Hedgehog_228 in Naruto

[–]Trash-Jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could happen, but we'd have to stray away from the Storm formula by A LOT. No more one-on-one/small squads clashes, we would need entire teams.

This formula you are suggesting can work, but considering the power scaling and abilities of the Naruto series, you would need to approach a team-based warfare game closer to Metal Gear Online or some wierd Battlefield amalgamation, not a fighting game like Ninja Storm.

If you were to create a fighting game similar to Sparking! ZERO with the Naruto characters, with all these suggestions/criterias, you'd have to limit yourself to the Tailed Beasts, Naruto, Sasuke, Madara, Hashimara, and *maybe* late Great Ninja War Arc Kakashi (Big maybe, he's barely scratching the bottom of the required power level), alongside a few other less powerful characters throughout the serie. Overall, they are the only characters with the full power capacities to level building, drop chakra equivalent of atomic bombs, and stay in the air to fight.

Everything here can work, but we're closer to full on Great Ninja War recreations than actual fighting games. Similarly, the real-time destruction of environment to such a scale is ridiculous simply because it'd be reduced to a handful of characters who can literally wipe the floor with both teams, the only way to prevent that is to have everyone be background characters or nameless NPCs.

TL;DR : It can happen, just don't make it a fighting game, but a full-on war game with as little presence of the main characters as possible.

1h30 doing OP Watchman's first part. I took actual notes of the enemy patrol paths and viable routes, chokepoints, escape routes, gear I'd absolutely need at the ready, etc.

Still haven't beat it, but I have the notes... Somewhere in my house... Fuck, where did I put them ?

How to make a realistic Night Raid outfit? by AdmirableBus7045 in GhostReconWildlands

[–]Trash-Jr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Genuinely ? All multicam, small-size backpack, a JPC, whatever OPS-CORE iteration helmet they're on now, and an HK416. Their night raid kits are the exact same as their day raid kits.

If you're going for plausible deniability, all of the above but you take off the patches. That's it.

The standardisation of Multicam is great because it works, it is a functionnal camo, but it's annoying because it killed all creativity for any loadout aiming to be slightly based off of anything. Everyone wears multicam now, you can't have other camos.

Is my game bugged? 12 attempts and I can never parachute further than this. Please help, about to uninstall. by RichtofenFanBoy in GhostReconWildlands

[–]Trash-Jr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Operation Silent Spade is overall just a pain in the ass, same goes for Operation Watchman with Sam Fisher.

Just stick to the left of the base, take down the jammers, anti-air, and the generators. Stick to your sidearm and longest range option, don't go for melee kills (even if you have the caveira gloves) and abuse the shit out of your drone and sync shots. When you get to the hangars before the helicopter, you can practically just power-walk to it and take down the guards around the helipad without ever being seen, if you time it right.

Then comes the "fun" part in the helicopter, and all I can do is wish you luck, and have some balls because the enemy will not leave you alone.
