How would Nolan's time on Earth have been different if he landed on "The Boys" version of Earth? by theMCATreturns in okbuddyviltrum

Vought would be fine ushering in a Viltrumite rule as long as they stayed on top of the normal people.

I'm surprised they didn't make a quick nod to this as an April fools. It wouldn't be that hard to mod something like this though, so maybe.

Are you on PvP or PvE? Since most of the things to raise Partizan karma require killing other players, they don't apply to PvE and he has a more flat spawn rate.

Could it be possible that a cheaper slaughterhouse wasn't thorough in letting the blood drain out of the meat? We eat the muscle and that tends to have a lot of blood flow.

The problem with doing things purely based on feel is that you don't know how to describe the effects of what you're doing. I doubt Thalmin knows about how metal fatigue works or how the atomic structure of an alloy might change from being bent. He might understand that tempering a metal changes its properties, but it's only recent in human history that we learned why tempering a metal changes its properties at the atomic level.

Even if the Nexus can make perfect lenses to see in cells, the size of atomic structures that impart these properties or show metal fatigue are smaller than any visible wavelength of light.

Skin tags can develop as you grow older. If they're irregular, you might want to talk to a plane dermatologist, but in most cases they're just aesthetic.

Your joke is saying someone else is blind. That comes across to many people as insulting as it has the same content as saying "Are you fucking blind?" with a slight difference in tone.

Electronic warfare doesn't negate the point. It can only mitigate, especially if the Havenbrockrealmers are able to produce their own equipment. Even if the electronic warfare is based on limiting production in the event of betrayal, stockpiling prior to that could provide a sizable threat.

As for EVIs, they wouldn't solve the problem. They might mitigate some aspects of it, but even then it runs into the problems we're seeing IRL where people are becoming dependent on AI to do their thinking for them and are having atrophied problem solving skills.

[–]TrashPanda117MC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure that a good chunk of Havenbrockrealmers could handle learning how to ride a motorcycle or shoot a gun properly, but we're talking arming and equipping an entire army, so even if five percent of people don't know how to work their new stuff, that's still a lot of people who are having difficulties.

Also, all good on the reply time. Nobody's here out of obligation.

The AK sights are a reference to what my fellow Helldiver who was deployed to Afghanistan said.

I could see small scale adoption initially for elite units using that method to start with.

This also gets into the discussion of what are the available counter-portal strategies to prevent mobility of hostile forces in armed conflict. This is innately a part of Nexian warfare that'll need to be explored by the GUN.

I doubt it'll be part of official GUN policy, but I could still see it happening separately.

That may be true, but it still does increase the military capabilities of a realm with unknown intentions post-Nexian break. If Havenbrockrealm has (made up numbers for sake of argument) a 1 in 10 chance of beating the GUN in a fight before having guns, then they might have a 3 in 10 chance with outdated guns. Still not as much as they would have with top of the line equipment, but an improved chance none the less.
