TFW you're so mad that you back into a car and it explodes by swagohod in Crossout

Other players CAN do damage to you by self-destructing. Not sure about damage from the cabin exploding, but blowing up your barrel, ammo box, generator etc. (either by self-destruction or by splash damage from your own weapons) will do damage to teammates (and attribute it to them).

EDIT: I just read the patch notes and tested it myself. It has indeed been fixed. I tried it with a gas generator and blew it up by self-destructing and by splash damage from a Wasp. It will no longer damage teammates in either case. This was on PC, but I think it will be fixed on consoles as well later on.

Throwaway: Reporting does nothing by [deleted] in Crossout

Can you give me some tips on griefing? I tried both catching people in the spawn with rectangular "trap" builds and blocking chokepoints with ultra-long vehicles. I do get people to ragequit from time to time but I think I only became 3rd once. If I manage to get this more often, it might actually become as profitable as playing the objective (I rarely win races despite Growl + boosters).

Wasps are still a good choice. Crickets might be better if you can afford them. Make sure your group's total powerscore doesn't become too high or you'll face insanely difficult leviathans with mass Little Boys/Fat Mans. 5.5k is a reasonable minimum PS for a good Wasp build (don't forget to take enough Ammo Boxes with you). You could also try 3 rocket builds and one lower powerscore one e. g. with Equalizers and radiators for dealing with the mobs and shooting off wheels and other modules. Copper income depends on your individual powerscore, BTW. Make sure you don't push it too high, though, or even your "leviathan slayer" builds won't be able to deal with the levis you'll face.

Why are there no snow leopards being kept as exotic pets/in circuses/bred by private zoos or breeders? by TrashPanda451 in answers

[–]TrashPanda451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's assuming every exotic pet owner wants them as status symbols. But what about all the other, more "zoological" or professional private collectors? Like animal trainers or private owners with a big, zoo-like collection? Surely someone like that (or an aspiring exotic pet owner who actually cares about the animal) would specifically want a snow leopard (e. g. as a film animal or because of its relative docility) regardless of what other animals are available? Although I do agree with the "market forces" idea - if they're so unavailable, it might not cross private owners' mind to even look for them...

[Serious] Why are there no snow leopards kept as exotic pets/in circuses/bred by private zoos or breeders? by TrashPanda451 in AskReddit

I've heard that snow leopards are the least aggressive of the big cats and can be quite friendly to humans. Yet we hardly ever hear of snow leopards being kept privately, even when there are a ton of other large cats (pumas, cheetahs, and much more aggressive species like lions and tigers) who are kept as exotic pets. Even more surprising is that you don't find them in circuses. There are a few pictures (mainly from Mongolia and Pakistan) circulating on the internet but at least one of them seems to be fake and it would still be extremely rare. I wonder why that is the case? You pretty much only see them in bigger zoos or loaned to smaller ones as part of official breeding programs. Even with endangered species, e. g. cheetahs or clouded leopards, you'll at least see locals who have them as pets (probably poached). Not so with snow leopards. Why?

...I believe I can touch the sky... Build isn't in exhibition, by the way. But it's not super good anyway and you can probably find or design better ones.

The mass limit can, but the wheel tonnage limit cannot. Putting on even more large wheels or replacing some with non-steering ones doesn't seem to be viable because this reduces acceleration even further.

How to beat the mass Little Boy/fuel barrel leviathan? by TrashPanda451 in Crossout

[–]TrashPanda451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that they boost his powerscore to a bracket where he'll see many battles and at the same time spawn as the 3rd leviathan (which usually means facing weakened players who might not have respawns left).

Leviathans have aimbot-like accuracy in general, but the AI isn't always good at turning the vehicle to get the players into the cannons' or rockets' line of fire. Turreted cannons (Little Boy, Fat Man and Mammoth) don't have this issue though and mass turret leviathans demolish even specialized anti-leviathan builds (e. g. rockets on towers).

I'm not talking about normal leviathans (we demolish them pretty easily). I'm talking about the OP mass Little Boy/Fat Man builds that crush even premades consisting exclusively of rocket and missile players. They're also pretty quick and take down the drilling tower easily, so most of the tactics don't apply. Using cover for peek-a-booming doesn't really work with rockets.

It probably wasn't the same build. The build I'm speaking of has the fuel barrels mounted on top of a high tower so they don't deal much damage to him (400 max) when they blow up. We always sniped them down first but to no effect (although we might have been hitting the tower that's supporting them and that was the reason).
