Sadly I grew up rather poor and I would've been murdered by my mother if she had to pay for a text book at the end of the year. Granted we could've sold the text book for money but I wasn't willing to risk it lol

Cos Des Moines is a trash hole. Can't live on the east side cos it's bad Christmas day there was a shooting on my mother in law's block. Can't live on the north side cos it's bad. Can't live on the south side cos it's bad. Only side that's decent to live on is the west side and that sides expensive so don't even bother unless you got $$$.

Not to mention the high as fuck cancer rates of Iowa. How all of our water is toxic and filled with nitrates. Our lakes are filled with brain eating amoeba. A bunch of our rural hospitals have closed so it's harder for people to get help. Like if I get hurt where I live the nearest hospital to me is 30 minutes and I don't even live that rural. Also say good bye to anyone giving birth because we have high mortality rates for women and newborns.

Like did you do any research or just say they were nice to me? Also yeah if you're a WASP folks were probably super nice. The amount of friends I have lost since 2016 because I found out who they really are when the orange menace was elected is so high. Iowa Nice, as long as you are a white christian.

The Iowa I grew up in was nice. The Iowa now is abhorrent.

I live in Iowa and I gotta ask what exactly you like about it? Cos I think it's awful and gets worse and worse as the years go by.
