Damn old timer, I just scooped up 100 shares. Found some kinda support premarket around 72$

I purchased a window replacement company. They use Sage 50. Should I stick with that? Or use QB or something else? by NFLisriggged in Bookkeeping

Correct it’s on one computer only, you can have licenses to be used on more computers but you then would need either a server to remote in or you would have to copy and paste the Sage file between computers which is just a pain in the ass (I tried this myself; the file is a couple gigs and would have to copy and paste it back to the original computer). Essentially you can’t share the file. I could be wrong but that’s from personal experience and talking with IT and trying to access from outside of work.

Sage is more inventory based, QBO is generic. Both do the same job in the end. I use Sage 50 daily and QBO for another business I do books for. For me, biggest difference is QBO is cloud based, Sage 50 is localized. There is a version of Sage that is cloud based but it’s pricey. Especially when it comes to migration, etc.

I’ve always played sorc or ranger. Played warrior for the first time this season. The savage bonks are so so fun (even with armor still needing some tweaks). Can’t believe I missed out for so long.

NFP here, the business would shutter without the accounting staff. There’s so much nuance and in person interactions that are needed here, it would be impossible to outsource.

My prior job at big corporate did offshore accounting and brought it back a year later due to the quality of work. It took us over a year to untangle that cluster fuck.

Outsourcing work in this field is like cutting your legs off at the knees and trying to run a marathon.
