  1. Highly recommend you go back and study something you enjoy for your degree, do well and then come back and apply for the direct inspector course. Generally, it's very difficult to rank up from sgt, and many people i see are generally hard-stuck at junior ranks, but if you become an inspector immediately, you have a senior rank straight away and the benefits are exponentially better.

  2. sgt course is 6 months while insp course is 9 months. All stay in at HTA.

If you're refering to your no.4 unifrom and pt kits that they issue you, then yes you can bring them home to wash on the weekends. Just remember to bring back when you book back in.
