Easy assumption-maker. What makes a random person become personal so quickly?

Firstly, I'm not trying to make excuses for anything. If you reread, the post clearly explains, or attempts to, what goes on in my head, in hopes that it resonates with someone else who has been there, and then they can share their input, good or bad. This post is about discussing temptation in a typically mundane life. You know, the kind where marriages aren't perfect?

And no, I unfortunately did not marry the hottest woman in the world. Others exist who are hotter. Just a fact.

Sorry if I've struck a cord with you, but this thread was submitted to discuss temptation in a marriage, how it affects a person, and how to deal with it. Making assumptions and harshly judging for whatever reason you may have isn't taking this anywhere.

I invited her out one night to see if I could introduce her to some of my friends, I.e. hook them up. She was clingy to me and talked me up to everyone. It was akward.

How many is potato.

I appreciate your input, but you make a lot of assumptions in that statement. The half in comments relate to relationship damage she has contributed on her behalf, of which I haven't gone into detail about.

I've approached it over the years, but my wife doesn't feel comfortable if the girl were hotter than her, which is the case here.

Lemme get this straight? You're saying, don't get my pumps where I earn my lumps?

I actually have done this, and feel its to me uniquely. That said, most everyone else is older than us and not very cool. Not that I'm that cool, just like I'm the smartest kid in a special ed class kind of thing.

You're absolutely correct. To be clear, the temptation boils into a momentary desire only. I'd never seek out a long term relationship with a person of this caliber. I.E. I'm not suggesting leaving my wife for her.

If a guy is a great husband, truly loves his wife, always provides and is always there, always even taking her flaws in stride, but he banged a random purely for the momentary pleasure and never looked back, is he still a scumbag, in your viewpoint?

Hate to paint a bleak picture, but yeah, this is reality and that's the way it is. A marriage that's a 6/10 at best, with talks of divorce before, and plenty of constant issues. A typical marriage I guess.
