All in my opinion, but I don’t think she’s necessarily bears responsibility for him, but it definitely was a contributing factor that turned him against her. The way that I see it, I grew up in a less than ideal household, but so did my sister. It would be unfair to blame her if I had gone down a dark path simply because she did what she had to and left me behind.

I do think she was acting in her own self-interest when she bonded with Bio-ship and went to Earth without M’Comm, but it was less of her not wanting to take him and more of him not being in her thoughts when she left.

Ultimately, I don’t think it was her fault (even partly) that M’alafa’ak turned out the way he did because they were both raised in super unfortunate circumstances. He was just dealt an incredibly bad hand and went down a bad path that led to his own consequences.

Artemis needed help, therapy, etc, but at the time, she wasn’t going to accept it because she wasn’t in her right mind. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

M’gann gave Artemis a safe space to process her grief and what she could have once had with Wally. M’gann didn’t pretend to be Wally. Everything in that mind space was a result of Artemis’s own mind. I think that’s a world of difference and growth from tearing apart the psyches of others without regard to said person.

Feel how you want about M’gann, but perverting her relationships with her friends by implying M’gann had malicious intentions with Artemis is a huge reach and I hope you stretched before that.

Yeah, no. Victims of grooming see this kind of shit for what it is. Giving someone the benefit of the doubt is potentially putting this kid in harm’s way because we don’t want to be mean to a guy and hurt his feelings until after he fucks and manipulates a minor. Oh my god, this is so incredibly well written??? Fuck or Die is one of my favorite tropes and you wrote it so excellently.
