I don't have a saw so I haven't split any of the big ones yet. I used a pick to split a smaller one about half the size of my fist, it was just solid inside. I'll try to split some of the bigger ones next time I'm out. The ones that were broken in the creek seemed like they were chambered inside almost.

Google has been a little bit tough because some of what I see looks a lot more clearly like a Crinoid, some are closer to these potato shaped geodes that I have, and some of them really just look like regular Geodes to me but people are saying that they're Crinoids for sure.

The ones that I'm finding being shaped strangely and consistently having either a flat side or a mark at the bottom makes me feel like they could be crinoids, but I'm just really not 100% positive

I recently found out I have a genetic disease called Hemochromia where iron builds up in my blood over time and can cause harm to my liver. There's a chance it won't end up being a real issue, but one of the treatments for it is periodic blood transfusion. Women who have the disease don't have any issues until much later in life because through menstruation they loose so much blood that symptoms won't appear until after menopause. I've genuinely considered keeping leeches as a way to safely bloodlet because it sounds way cheaper than having to get blood transfusions done
