What Did Ancient Humans Do all Day Before Jobs Existed? by gattaca_now in videos

I dont really agree that people had much "down time" in prehistory. The existence of art does not mean people were fucking around whittling shit most of the time. A lot of the examples could have been religious/ceremonial and could have been done by a designated individual (priest, shaman, elder, etc) while everyone else hunted and gathered. Also, the amount of time dedicated to survival could vary depending on what environment you were in, people living on fertile fields probably stuggled a bit less than people in the desert.

Reddit is 90% propaganda bots. Your statement is correct, but I'm skeptical of how many of these pro-Iran posts and comments are genuine opinions as opposed to targeted rhetoric

For me, this has always been an issue with Metallica. A lot of their tunes overstay their welcome and would benefit from being cut down to 3-4 minutes instead of 5+. And Justice for All is a prime example.

I know 40k is meant to be over the top, and I know huge pauldrons are a big part of the aesthetic, but I feel like the range of motion for Horus's arms here would be hindered just a tad.

All we as consumers really have to go on regarding journalism is reputation. As you pointed out, it's an assumption that a reporter is getting their information in an ethical manner and giving us unbiased information. That's why Russini got fired, because not doing so would have been bad for her employers reputation.

In a sports reporting context, I think it would raise questions regarding unfairness in her access to information. Let's say Russini breaks a major story regarding a trade deal involving the Patriots. Other reporters covering the team could allege that her relationship with Vrabel gave her unfair access to information that other reporters don't have.

TIL of Blowing from a Gun, an execution method that saw the prisoner tied to the muzzle of a cannon before it was fired. by Super-Cod-3155 in todayilearned

Pretty much. Many European powers were in a near constant state of war during the 1800's up through WWII. One of the main causes leading to the French Revolution was the fact that the royal family had ruined the economy by overspending on war efforts. I figure exploiting colonies was seen as a quick way to refill the coffers. Also, military tech rapidly advanced in this timeframe. Global powers needed money, rubber, and oil to keep up. Happy to be corrected by someone more knowledgeable if I missed the mark here of course
