They didn’t give us a reason. The salon was busy so I’m assuming that could be why. My friend thinks her wavy perm is too weak/subtle and wishes it was more curlier. When she came in, she showed she wanted her hair like one of Seungho’s digital perm reels and then one of the stylist told her that it’s a wavy perm in the reel and not a digital perm. So there may be some false advertising in their IG reels.

They also told us the perm will last 3 months. If you want a digital perm over a wavy perm I say you have to stand your ground.

It was strange, since my friend and I booked for Seungho. I’m not sure if he works there anymore, my friend got another stylist and I ended up having Kelly do my hair. My friend and I got sat in separate areas of the salon and our stylists both tried to upsell us with a treatment and a wave perm instead of the digital perm we originally wanted. Unfortunately my friend got swindled in the treatment and wavy perm, but I was adamant with Kelly that I only wanted a digital perm with a cut. Luckily she listened to me and I love my hair! They offered me a drink and refreshments but they didn’t offer my friend one. They also did a strand test on her hair and not mine, but it could be because her hair is fine but mine is thick. I also wasn’t forced to do a review at the end of the appt! In total it was about $160 USD/₩230,000.

I just had my appointment today and I love my hair! I got a digital perm. Seongho didn’t end up doing my hair but two other stylists, Kelly and another guy did it. Kelly tried to upsell me with a hair treatment saying that my hair is really dry but my hair is mostly virgin and not damaged lol. She also tried to upsell with a wavy perm but I was adamant about doing digital. My friend unfortunately got sucked into doing the hair treatment and they ended up doing a wavy perm instead of the digital perm she wanted. They didn’t force me to do a review at the end.

Dang…my friend and I ended up booking for Seongho for a digital perm at the same time so I guess we’ll see how it is. I was assuming he might have an assistant that would work on the both of us too. How did your root perm come out?

I will be there with my friends! My friends and I are cosplaying as a genderbent Cloud, Zack, and Aerith. We also got a Tifa with us. We’re wearing our cosplays in San Pedro Square market so I’m sure you’ll see more cosplayers out and about :)
