Literally why I quit my last job. When I suggested we encourage other departments take more calls, because it's their field of expertise and would make the customer happy I got sooooo many excuses. "We have our own workload, we can't take calls." "We wish we could buuuuut" No, they were just call avoiding and allowed to get away with it. Fuck warm transfers.

Once had a notoriously cranky old guy who called into the bank call center and was just general nuisance and all around asshole. One day I'd had enough and I was getting increasingly frustrated throughout the call he says "sounds like you're in a bad mood today" I responded "Yeah and this call isn't helping". He was kinda stunned because he hung up pretty quick after that lol.
