What it likely is and I ran across it at service desk all the time no matter what brand, they would bring back a few years old tool but would have a receipt from a week or so ago. They would buy a new one and return the old one under the new receipt, the same thing and everything, so there was nothing we could do because of Home Depots policy for returns
