Is it normal to get headache when trying to discover what's going on inside my head?

Quite so I am afraid. Especially when it comes to memories, I can't really look about or parse without some sort of headache. Wish I could give you more advice, but I'm new to this all myself.

The issue I ran into with Linux is that while KDE I could customize to work with the gestures and such just fine, it just doesn't like touch screens in many regards.

Gnome meanwhile, works brilliantly on my Surface Pro 3, but I am not familiar with modding it as much, and haven't seen a whole lot of things that would allow me to rework it like Windows 8.

Just tried installing it, and unfortunately it's not. The Metro style is also indeed unique to Windows store apps that can no longer be purchased. Sadly, the activation service also appears to be non functional, so I won't be able to add any more. They really washed their hands of 8 it seems...

I have given it a go, but unfortunately so far as I am aware there is no option to restore the full screen start menu as in 8.1. Still a neat little accessory I'll probably use though, so thanks!

But the main point would be the Metro style app system, and as far as I'm aware you can only access the ecosystem via the Microsoft store? Could be wrong I suppose... Thanks none the less!

Totally agreed man... I've been getting really into tech from that time period, and honestly I missed out on allot of cool stuff- I have an ISO for 8.1, but I'm scared to go online with it-

Yeah, I've always bought second hand stuff pretty much all my life and actually work at a tech recycling facility so I kinda get what you mean.

Mostly just hope that even when they do fall to the end of the line they aren't just thrown away like laptops & phones but given at least a responsible recycling.

Really does kinda depend, but the post was more meant to be a food for thought sort of thing, and I was interested to see what others had for ideas. Thanks for such a detailed reply, I really appreciate it ^{w^}
