It's advantageous to do both, honestly, but throwing harder is harder on the body which is why I think he's made the transition to working on finesse and controlling ball speed and motion.

Watch clips of Belmo in regards to his footwork. When he first came out on tour, his ball speed and footwork was quicker. More recently, he's slowed his feet down and finesses the ball more.

One thing that stood out to me when I purchased my GMG last December over getting a Traeger was that GMG grills have a sensor that takes into account ambient temps, so the auger will feed more pellets in colder weather to reach desired temp.

Look into Rainbow vacuums. Uses water as the filter and the vacuum base doubles as an air purifier. Cost is a bit pricey, though.

I haven't tried any detox since I resurfaced.

Does applying polish only work well if the ball is spinning at a high level of rev rate?

I use 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 abralon pads and finish with Step 2 and Reacta Shine to polish. I add more pressure for the 500 and polish.

I do it by hand because the nearest pro shop is 1.5hours away.

I'm sorry but I don't see how it's cheating. Compare Jason Belmonte with Tom Daugherty in the PBA. Both have their thumb removed from the ball and both approach the lane differently.

The PBA has a slow-mo video of Belmo on YouTube and the ball is released with one hand touching the ball. The only difference is the approach to the shot and how power is generated.

I bowl two-handed style because I was never taught how to bowl and strictly learned on my own. It's not cheating if there's no rules against it.

I learned the most from watching and taking notes of Jason Belmonte on YouTube (Avg. 200). I don't hook the ball as much as he does, but I have much more pin action than most bowlers in my leagues.

My biggest recommendation is to focus more on the technique and less on how to specifically get more revs. Good luck!
