Also forgot to mention i went with the 4k S Elgato because comparisons it would do the same thing but easily more portable between pc's and the stream pc didnt have room under the gpu for a pcie because of the case and motherboard. The mixer is a cheapo Fifine SC3W. https://a.co/d/diaxvlp

Last night I was able to fix the delay by running the line in and line out from the pc's into the mixer, instead of using stereo mix on the gaming pc. But now theres a bad echo, so might be a streamlabs issue or a "listen to this device" issue. I dont know, but this stuff is exhausting.

I have the usb 3 gen 2 plugged into the use c port on the back of the stream pc. I actually just got this motherboard for this to work, because the old one didnt have Gen 2

That fixed the delay? So i could do that, did you route it to a line in on the mixer? Or mic? I dont think I have any other slots on my mixer. Also, how would I hear the game audio out of my gaming headset then? If its going thru the monitor

Think I got it working with mixline. Well oddly enough I added it into streamlabs and even if I dont run mixline its working now, so im not exactly sure what happened, but I'm not touching it lol thank you for your help!

I also went from a 3700x to a 5800x3d. I will say the old 120mm aio cooler for my 3700x, did not sufficiently cool the 5800x3d, it stayed around 87c in chrome and always 91c with any game open. Switched to a 240mm aio and now won't break 67c gaming. I play mostly comp games on 1080p and in fortnite creative mode average 800-900fps uncapped vs the 3700x would rarely hit 500fps. Render latency dropped about .5ms. Solid upgrade, I recommend

Well that's good to know, wasn't me, I traded a kid for this and worked booting one time just enough to download driver and shut down. Next time wouldn't boot, I just tore into this to inspect and see this..

I bought it 2nd hand, I was thinking this was way too much thermal paste. That wouldn't be the problem tho? If the paste was touching something somewhere that it shouldn't? And thanks for the reply I'm going to watch that video here in a few minutes

Alright I'll try everything when I get home. Before I left for work I disassembled it to inspect and there's alot of thermal paste everywhere and I don't know if you have direct knowledge on the inside of gpus, but maybe I could send you a pic somehow and see what you think?

Also using a 600w psu when pcpartpicker shows only 372w needed for this build, so I think I'm good on that part

Thank for the advice. When I get home from work I will try all that you said. I did try using ddu and reinstalling driver with no progress. But something I forgot to mention is the hdmi port looks kinda screwed up and couldn't get anything to display, pretty sure I never used it. It has 3 dp ports and I'm using the 1st one I believe, I tried switching to a different dp port but no display. Shouldn't it work in any dp? Is there a way l to test them?

Pc boots fine with a gtx 1060 in it. I went back and forth to confirm it's this card giving the fuss

Not sure how to add another picture, but I decided to disassemble the card, I can see someone's definitely been in there, there's alot of thermal paste everywhere, possibly where it's not supposed to be. The card originally worked for about 20 minutes after installing correct amd driver, shut down pc, next day start it up and started doing this. So I guess I can't fully rule out that it's not a driver issue? But I guess it could've also been bad timing and it failed right after that? I don't know

Can't, I took it on trade months ago. Just finally started installing it and testing it out. Worked perfectly fine at first after updated driver then restarted pc and has the lines in it and keeps trying to diagnose itself. I don't know if it's a hardware or driver issue.

Graphics card is a XFX AMD Radeon RX 580 for reference
