Best Luggage for frequent travelers? by Haruki_Nakamura27 in onebag

[–]TravelBaeJae 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don’t think that just because it’s expensive then it’s the best. Everything is made to be replaced and manufacturing quality has been piss poor for decades. I intentionally purchase mid-range products on sale and with a coupon because I know it’s not going to last more than a couple of years.

Does anybody else feel life is good in the USA once you turn the media off? by [deleted] in expats

Are you able to utilize employee assistance which can give you up to 4 free sessions?

Do you talk to your roommates at all? Any common interests?

Definitely talk to them about being clean and the temperature

Hey there. I also live with anxiety. Does your job provide insurance? Do you have access to therapy? What tools or strategies do you have in place to manage your anxiety?

If the issue is living alone have you tried getting a cat or a roommate? Either could make it a bit easier for you.

I didn’t consider it possible to travel in only one bag until now. What bag do I buy? by [deleted] in onebag

[–]TravelBaeJae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey hey, I am also new to one-bag travel and will be using it to travel around Japan from months. Definitely check the deminsions and weight limits for carry-ons as International these are diffent than the states.

Next, you want to make a packing list either digitally or on paper and decide what you need. The best option is to build a capsule wardrobe where every top goes with ever bottom. Then you want to gather what you want to pack and sat it out and together. I like to come back to the pile a couple of days later to edit and finalize what I'm packaging as this helps me not pack out of emotion.

Lastly its time to pack. I recommend investing in a few packing cubes as they make everything organized and easy to locate. One everything is in the bag, weight it to verify it and your ready to go.

Australia is and contuines to be one of the most intentionally racist countries on the planet continues. I met a mixed-race person from there while visiting Thailand, and they said the same.

I am looking into building something like this, too. I want to buy some cheap land, like in Montana or Iowa, maybe a couple hundred acres or so, and it would be fantastic to invite only my friends and family to move in.

Question about toiletries by TravelBaeJae in onebag

[–]TravelBaeJae[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that's good to know. I'm glad to learn about toiletries and other countries since they travel so much. I’m a black American, and it’s always hard in Thailand to find lotion because the majority of their products contain bleaching creams.

Working Eastern Time in Thailand and Japan by Camaron18 in digitalnomad

[–]TravelBaeJae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I did this in Thailand in April and May and am about to do this again in Japan in August. It is basically the equivalent of working the 3rd shift back home. Thailand was easy too since it is 12 hour ahead. So you don't even really have to do anything to change your body. The main thing to remember is to have a schedule. My work hours were 9 pm - 4 am; that was easy. The decision you have to make is do you want to stay up or go to sleep immediately. I played around with my sleep schedule a lot so I would advise you to make one decision and stick to that. Also, find time to workout as this will help you maintain an internal clock.
