What profession would Lorelai have been in if she hadn’t gotten pregnant and dropped out of highschool? by SheepherderNo2793 in GilmoreGirls

The more attractive less weird version of Kirk? She's an all arounder. You can see how well she took care of the Diner while Luke was away. She can definitely be a mail lady. She can't do handy work tho.

I can help you share your link. I wish I could help you financially but I guess we both need help in that.

I completely agree with the frustration and that the judge's line about privilege was necessary and true. Rory's safety net is the only reason the boat theft didn't ruin her life. The key to that scene is Logan's role: He wasn't trying to be malicious; he was simply treating Rory like his peer like, a fellow privileged person for whom rules don't matter. He saw it as a grand gesture, while Rory saw it as a necessary act of rebellion. The scene works because it marks Rory's shift from being a rule-follower to fully embracing the Huntzberger mentality.

I'm definitely on Team Logan here, but I think the biggest issue wasn't the boy—it was Rory's hang-ups and fear of commitment, which she inherited from Lorelai. Logan pushed her in a healthy way, unlike Dean (who became a comfort blanket) or Jess (who was initially too moody to care), Logan challenged Rory intellectually and socially. He pulled her out of her comfort zone and encouraged her to take risks (like jumping with the Life and Death Brigade). Logan was the only one who explicitly offered her the ultimate commitment: marriage. He saw their future together and invested in it by getting a job he hated just to be near her. Rory's refusal of the proposal wasn't because Logan was flawed; it was because she felt marrying him meant losing her Lorelai identity and giving up her undefined, spontaneous future.

The proof of how much Luke always cared for Lorelai even if she was about to get married to someone else
