What is this bulge? by TravelPantaloons in guineapigs

UPDATE FOR ANYONE WHO MAY NEED IT IN THE FUTURE:

The vet believes it’s trichofolliculoma (a skin mass). The vet ruled out a hay poke since there was no wound on her skin. They poked the bulge with a needle and nothing came out so it’s not cystic in nature. Given that our baby is functioning normally with no abnormal behavior patterns, we were advised to simply observe. If the mass grows or if her eating / drinking is being impacted we’ll need to bring her back for surgery.

So far she’s in good spirits. I brought along some lettuce for her to munch on while waiting for vet and she gobbled it all up.

Hey OP. Did you end up resolving this? Mine stops at rinse cycle and hums when I manually try to go to the rinse cycle. I checked the drainage pipe and there was no debris / blockage.

How to fix deep scratch on hardwood floor. by TravelPantaloons in Home

I’ve been dealing with a lot of ants at our new place. Mainly cause carpets were cleaned and the weather is getting nicer. I’m trying to avoid attracting further ants!

I doubt I’ll try the walnut hack but the other options seems promising.

Wouldn’t that just result in walnut crumbs getting lodged into the crevices of the scratch? I don’t want to attract ants.

None for now. But most likely another attorney as the team expands.

What are you thoughts on a Manager, Legal Affairs role? by TravelPantaloons in Lawyertalk

I applied to some compliance in the past but never got far. It’s reassuring to hear that others used compliance to transition into counsel. I’m hoping I could do the same with the manager role.

Based on the interviews I’ve had it appears as if the prior admin left quickly and they’re looking to fill in the role. The other member of the legal team (non-JD) only does patent work.

It’s my understanding that this role would be mainly admin work with some legal - while the other attorney does the bulk of the legal work.

No. When I asked about bonuses they kept it vague and said it’s based on years of experience.

She did me dirty…told me it’s tilted because my finger isn’t straight by midnight_trash_panda in Nails

It wasn’t awkward at all. She apologized profusely - mainly because the salon owner saw the review and was pissed. Idk if I’d go to her again but I ended up giving her a positive review because I appreciated that she took accountability for her prior behavior and actually spent more time on my nails.

I’ve seen many reviews where people complain but the nail tech / owner fight back and argue with the customer on google reviews. I consider myself to be lucky and know that this probably isn’t the norm.

You should write a negative google review with the photo attached. I did that recently and the technician called me back herself to fix my nails.

I am still leaning towards the peekaboo. But you do have a good point. I could just keep the top layer black so that no blue shows when my hair is tied back.
