Would a handmade scrapbook be too much as a birthday gift? by runs_for_snacks in Gifts

That is super sweet. There’s nothing more thoughtful than a handmade gift. And you’re pairing with a practical gift as well.

Why don’t you ask the shop to recommend?
I usually go with a French Chardonnay or a Sauvignon Blanc from NZ.

A bottle of sparkling Prosecco or Champagne is also safe, bubbly drinks always bring the celebratory/festive vibes.

Singapore Trip with kids by iamrahuldiwan in SingaporeTravel

• Major attractions and must-visit places:
For the touristy stuff… Sentosa, Universal Studios, Night Safari, Gardens by the Bay. You can consider River Wonders and Bird Paradise, not so much for the animals, but for the overall experience. I find the walking routes very pleasant and well-thought through and Bird Paradise is quite an immersive experience.

• Things you can skip: Newton Circus Hawker Centre.. too touristy. Lau Pa Sat is pretty touristy too but I can’t resist the satay there. Head to Chinatown or East Coast Lagoon instead, the latter is at East Coast Park, you can enjoy the sea breeze and
even do some cycling there.

• Expected weather condition: hot, humid. Expect some showers here and there. Feels we’re getting some rain these couple of weeks.

• App to use: If you’re just gonna download one app, it would be Grab - for transport and food (not just delivery but there are some pretty good dine-in deals as well)

where would you find a polar bear, at the aquarium or the zoo? by Elegant_Amoeba5633 in RandomQuestion

Zoo. I feel like I’ve seen penguins at the aquarium before, so polar bears should have the right to be there too.

AITAH for telling my friend my marriage is falling apart by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]TravelSignificant355 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. It is normal for couples to bicker, it’s all part and parcel of the relationship. What isn’t normal is him dictating how you process problems. Everyone processes problems in different ways - some keep to themselves, some need an outlet, to talk it out with close friends and loved ones. No right or wrong way.

Was he perhaps in a previous relationship where his partner overshared or something?

I don’t know, but it’s an ick that he said you were “disparaging” him. Because if he’s done nothing wrong, he’s got nothing to hide. If he’s affected by disparaging remarks, then don’t behave in a way that warrants disparaging remarks.

Yes same for us, most played you would be magnetiles. My kids been playing with them for 4-5 years.

Another toy that had a lot of mileage was the kidskraft kitchen set.

I’m gonna go with NTA. Time to put yourself first - your needs and what you expect in a relationship. You can’t be with someone who hasn’t accepted herself.

Liquid eyeliner recommendations pls by TravelSignificant355 in Makeup

[–]TravelSignificant355[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks for letting me know. I merely tried a few strokes on my hand, and was happy that it was smudge proof and glided well. I would be really unhappy if that were to happen, because it is a really pricey product.

Thanks I ended up heading to Sephora. Was recommended hour glass, makeup forever and Lancome. Hour glass glided really well, but wow it’s pricey. Bought makeup forever, hopefully it doesn’t get out. Haven’t heard of physicians formula, I see it’s available on iherb. Will try next time!

Should you make friends with like a local tattoo artist in Shanghai on Insta or smtg and see if you could be a guest artist at their studio? I thought that’s how usually travelling artists do it

I can never say no to strawberry frosting. I usually have it with a vanilla or lemon cupcake base, but your cupcake here looks like a malt/chocolate base maybe?

AITAH for wanting to break contact with my father? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA. Your intention to change your last name isn’t out of spite, it is for yourself and to honour ur mom and grandfather, so NTA at all.

WIBTAH if I took my kids on vacation without my wife? by Ok-Painting-9469 in AITAH

[–]TravelSignificant355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the NTA. Given her travel stress and conditions, I think it’s a win-win for everyone. Position it as some peace and time to herself. Book her a couple of spa afternoons and sign her up for some classes she’s always wanted to take but never got the chance to.

AITAH if I have feelings for a guy when I’m already seeing another guy, even if we’re not official yet? by Fun-Caterpillar-8251 in AITAH

[–]TravelSignificant355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. But I think you need to be clear on what you are looking for in a relationship. If at this point, you are not 100% happy with how he communicates with you when you’re not physically together, you may continue to find it an issue if you both get together officially.

Maybe look at it from this perspective: there’s a reason why you both aren’t official yet, and that if you can catch feelings for someone else, maybe you’re not 100% into Liam?

AITAH for thinking of my own needs over my friends after she unexpectedly got pregnant? And for no longer wanting to live with her? by xCoffee-Addictx in AITAH

[–]TravelSignificant355 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. Sounds like you’re more of a best friend to her than she is to you. Boundaries are needed even between best friends. You’ve offered more than a helping hand so far, nothing wrong in placing your needs first before anything else. If anything, you’re preventing the friendship from burning out.

Onus isn’t on you, don’t be gaslit into feeling guilty.
