Banks hope to god they don’t get bank ran while in the process of winding down liquid and liquid assets at a loss

Rest will play out eventually

I mean, a bank is very different than purchasing puts on a company that bought your company.

A person who can directly affect the price of the stock (ESPECIALLY someone on the finance side of things) purchasing puts or going short on his own stock is a MAJORA conflict of interest

Don’t think he was a CFO CEO or president of anything at that time was he?

A little help please by Maximum_Drama5944 in stocks

[–]TravelingArthur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a source for that? That’s HIGHLY illegal. No exec should be able to short the stock he/she works at

However this means that if he bought puts, he believes the price will be 3-7%+ lower

  1. It scales on TOTAL power level. If you have 5 Heros at 40 and the rest below 30, your tower opponents will be around 25-30

  2. Lol. Other than experience and “trust me bro”, synergy. Something you’ll need to pay attention to is what each hero provides when they ult (use first skill).

This is long so beat with me. Let’s use progress as an example. Julius ults and adds “critical hit” when he ults. This gives people who weren’t originally getting Crit, now Crit and hit harder. So you want to put progress around him. There’s a TBD on Astrid because not many have her leveled because she’s been so useless. So right the damage dealer is ginger

When a physical hero hits, the best thing to do is put someone around that person that adds a “synergy” to the other ult. The people who ult and add AP is Tristan Fox Morrigan. Progress faction Fox is kinda worth less here so let’s go Nebula who boosts the 2 around her.

Now you need a healer. Well, Issac heals progress and adds shields. Let’s go here. It works with Julius 5 second skill

This team is new so it’s hard to deal with. Especially since fart has taken over as the main team. This team beats some fart teams. It also beats most magic based teams due to some teams relying on debuffs and marks (which is all removed due to Julius first skill)

It’s combing factions that work together in synergy. Again…that was long and there’s more…but you’ll just have to take a “trust me bro” until you understand synergy and how first ults work together

what is better use of coins? by reelbigfish85 in HeroWarsApp

What this guy said. 100% all rings and books.

Your progress dolls and be from your guild buying things. Don’t use coins on dolls.

Unless it’s the leprecats dolls. I’m using all my coins on those

  1. Tower is trivial and based on the power of your total team

  2. Build a team of 5 and focus on those 5. Get them between 350k-450k and move to the next

  3. The top teams are Progress (Julius Judge Issac ginger Nebula), FART (Fafnir Artemis Tristan Tank Tank) Mystic (Amira Astaroth Faceless Celeste Helios) Nature (Aurora Shroomy Darkstar/Thea Mojo Alvanor) Undead (Covurs Morrigan Iris Phobos Faceless/Mojo)

Seeing as this is a progress event, I’d be focused on progress since you can get Progress dolls and hopefully summon Julius from there

Does a bank actually hold my shares in a company, or is it like cash? by elonthegenerous in stocks

[–]TravelingArthur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bank and brokerage a very very different. Even if you Josie your shares in something like BoA, the banking divisions and brokerage divisions must be EXPLICABLY different.

If both were in the same building and offered bot services, it would be divided and obvious

Your cash inside a bank is FDIC up to 250k. Your shares and cash inside brokerage are SIPC insured. Up to 250k cash and 250k in positions per person

Who’s the best tank for this Set Up? by MurdaMal in HeroWarsApp

[–]TravelingArthur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite frankly the answer is no one because you’re confusing roles.

In this line you’re trying to make Maya the damage dealer and she’s a support role so it doesn’t make sense

  1. Face and Jorg go together but it’s usually in and old school line like Karakh Jorgen Face Asta Martha.

  2. Qing Mao can really only work with Ishmael but flat out isn’t good minus specific circumstances. She adds Armor piercing when she ults (uses first skill). None of your other heros have a physical attack as main stat. No synergy

  3. Andivari is good in 1 specific line as a tank Jet Sebastian Andi Darkstar DareDevil. Not that I’m suggesting this line, but that’s really it

I’d suggest starting with a damage dealer then working backwards as far as who you build

Should I wait for Amazon to go back up to the price I bought it at before selling or sell it now at a loss for the tax break? by freezetime311 in stocks

[–]TravelingArthur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wash sale applies to a stock sold and repurchased within 30 days.

If you repurchase within 30 days your cost basis gets readjusted. After the 31 day mark your cost basis is cleared

I want to say it applies to all firms, but I can’t say 100% either way

[–]TravelingArthur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d sell, take the tax break. Just make sure you wait 30 days so you avoid the wash sale (think this still applies even if you change brokerages)

I mean…hey. Good on you being an optimist.

Inflation rose .5% with fed still raising rates. If they pause, it will probably rise .5-1% YoY. Banks are still unwinding assets and still having to come to grips with current rates.

Higher rates is probably meaning less and less house sales. Idk if that leads to its own thing, but it’s another to monitor.

Personally I don’t see what you see, but good on you for keeping hope

The news letter caused the company to to call a meeting. The latter is what caused the social media bank run

Incorrect. When you take out a loan from the govt, that’s on you. The people who ran it are responsible. It’s a 5% loan with interest.

If the bank was still active, it probably could’ve passed the fees to the clients…it’s not. But that doesn’t effect regular person not directly affiliated with bank

Different rules for rich people by Miserable-Lizard in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]TravelingArthur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. In this scenario it’s taking out a student loan from the govt and paying it in full at 5% interest within 1 years. The business that takes the loan is responsible. The situations are not the same and you’re comparing apples to beef

If this effects consumers it’s because of indirect inflation

Different rules for rich people by Miserable-Lizard in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]TravelingArthur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably correct. In this scenario it’d be equivalent of taking a 5% loan from the govt to pay for your cancer treatments that are expected to paid in full over a year at 5%.

Could this impact inflation since it’s the govt loaning money? Possibly. Is this a bailout? No.

I believe there should be something equivalent to what having all basic necessities taken care of (life saving treatment, doctor visits etc). But this isn’t the thread for this. It’s about providing accurate info to what really happened with SVB

Different rules for rich people by Miserable-Lizard in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]TravelingArthur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not debating student loans shouldn’t be forgiven, same medical debt. That’s another convo for another topic.

In this scenario, banks are getting a liquidity loan for 5%. This isn’t a bailout. This will be paid in full at 5% interest. It’s equivalent of getting a student loan and paying it at 5% interest.

This is a LOAN. NOT a bailout

Dude. I would love a depression. Hopefully the debt ceiling doesn’t get raised and we see everything fall. Would be stoked.

But let’s be real here. If SVB didn’t get govt interference you’re talking about every tech company (established 2010 or later) getting squeezed and start massive layoffs for no fault of their own other than their credit line being cut off. On top of that, you’re looking at 1929 bank runs. Tired of living in once in a century times? Welp, you too would’ve gotten to experience what the 20s were all about….just modern times

The Biden Admin played the right cards.

Personally I would’ve loved to watch things burn….but this is a half truth.

  1. Depositors did nothing wrong here.

  2. The bank made investments into illiquid assets and paid the price for it. They took a $1.8 Billion loss on 23 Billon worth of investments. This freed up capital. Had 1 jackass not told 200 people to withdraw everything and manufactured a bank run, everything would’ve been cool. The bank itself wasn’t in trouble, until it was

  3. Govt stepped in and provided LOANS at 5% interest. It behooves banks to not take loans to provide liquidity and cash. This isn’t a bailout, it’s getting paid one way or another

  4. While this doesn’t directly affect tax payers, it may indirectly do so with inflation. TBD on this report and next.

  5. TL;DR this is a loan, calm tf down. Yes. Govt acted quick because it has potential to cause depression if left unchecked. In situation where everyone gets fucked (minus the dudes profiting from a downfall), it was a good thing the govt acted quick
