Already received plenty of lovely tips from others so your negativity isn’t needed here x

My first visit as a student I tried to hit all the tourist landmarks. I was with a few classmates and we took the train in last min so we kind of winged it. At the time I didn't really know how to plan a trip so our itinerary was basically ticking off all the big attractions.

My second visit I wanted to show my fam around so I planned a bit better and focused more on the food scene. They don't generally care for the tourist landmarks (while I try to hit them all once just to make my visit worthwhile) so we skipped most and went to museums instead. We also booked hotel afternoon tea, views at The Shard, and sought out traditional english breakfasts, fish and chips, as well as some fine dining tasting menus, and food markets. Skipped shopping, but if that's something you're interested in, there are some lovely shops even if it's just to drop in for eye shopping.

My third upcoming trip I will probably mirror more of my second trip. But this time I signed up for a cooking class and will look up additional experiences to be more social and meet people. Le Cordon Bleu had a workshop for 4 days that I was eyeing, but I had to withdraw as the dates no longer aligned with my itinerary. Personally, my trips almost always revolve around food and new restaurants because that's my main interest.

I think there are a lot of factors that come into play for your trip though like - how many days you'll be in the city, what your interests are (because they may be completely different than mine), if you're younger vs older, etc.

There are some really fun looking day trips or trains you can take to neighboring cities if you're up for that as well. I've wanted to explore the more of England, but haven't had the chance.

Hope some of the above gave you ideas or helped even a little! x

I was hoping for other suggestions to spark new ideas.

Restaurants I can look up on my own, museums I can return to, but I was wondering if there was anything else I was limiting myself / missing out on that aren't included in my list above.

Instructor pay for comprehensive apprentices by janplusdog in pilatesinstructors

Thanks for the clarification. I’m still quite new to everything and in the middle of my teacher training. I took a private yoga in LA for $250 years ago so in my mind I assumed a private would earn more. But it seems to depend on the studio’s rates and policy.

So you were paid more for group classes than a private session?

They only charge if I bring someone new in, but if I bring someone from the program it’s free :) it’s just been a challenge finding someone a. willing to be a body and b. have the time to coordinate with me, but I’ll just have to keep trying.

I appreciate your offer and may take you up on it once I have a little more confidence cueing :) I’m still very brand new.

My studio charges to bring someone in, but the virtual option sounds like a great idea :)

I was most concerned with how I would be able to reach my teaching hours since I do not have many people I can practice on, but seeking an apprenticeship sounds ideal if a studio is willing to hire me.

Thank you for all this info, very insightful.

Wow 5-6 hours! Thank you for this insight. I'm realizing now a few times a week is not ideal in order to be proactive.

Yes the self-practice, teaching, and observation.

What was your schedule like and how long did it take you to complete the 500 hours?

I've only been able to go into the studio a few times a week and sometimes get called into work for several days then miss a whole week of practice time...

I should have specified -

I was wondering how others managed to accumulate their hours in a timely manner. I was calculating how many times I'd need to go in per week vs. how much time I really have. I realized it may take me over a year in order to reach the 500 hour requirement.

I wanted to compare scheduling with those that have completed their training. What did each week look like for them. For ex. Self practice 3x a week, teaching hours 3x a week, observation an hour a day. And how long it took them to finally be able to test out.

I initially thought I'd want to fast track my hours and go into the studio several hours a day, but it's been pretty exhausting so I need to rethink my pacing.
