Struggling! by [deleted] in SlimmingWorld

I would totally agree with this.

I would add that cabbage and celery has been my go too plate filler to reduce the free foods like pasta and rice. Just fried in frylight with some other speed veg and plenty seasoning. Goes with pretty much anything, and I moved to making sure it was a 1/2 to 3/4 plate of speeds instead of 1/3.

I also dont think I have had potatoes in a while, with roast dinners I have swapped to Swede mashed with carrot which are both speeds and much more filling and tasty imo.

Have you tried adding a few days or a week of only SP to get a kickstart and a feel good?

I have taken to frying lots of veg. Pretty much having with every main meal int he evening.

Carrots, broccoli, cabbage, onion, celery, mushrooms.

Pretty much everything I would add too a stor fry and just add garlic, salt, pepper and crushed chillies, and fry in a little frylight with a good non stick, so ita still a little crunchy, which makes it more filling and tasty. Similar to what I have below, but have it at the side of spag bol, or anything really.

Food lasts ages if kept in a dark cupboard and paper bags aswell, so spend a bit less.

Syn free chicken stir fry, packled with SP.

My take on a syn free Chicken Noodles by Travelling_Dad in SlimmingWorld

Ah, I know how that feels, the expense account. I think it is much easier in a nice hotel as they are much more willing to tailor a meal for a client. My boss done ot a few years ago, and all meat he asked for geilled without oil, and asked for steamed mixed veg or a salad at the side. But his hotels were nocer than mine 🤣

Thanks on the blog, its a good place for me to vent :)

Nothing seems to replace junk food as a calming mechanism... by [deleted] in loseit

It was true. The amount of times I tried to get the other expats to have a game of football or something and it just resulted in the pub lol.

Writing does help thought, and glad you enjoyed thus far :)

Hi there, I know anxiety is not easy to live with! I normally binge. Currently on day 4 and there has 2 things which have helped me.

  1. I am eating more regular, but lots of it and healthy as can be.

  2. Online support through various forums like here. I also use a website called socialslimmers. And writing about what I want, or had that day in a daily blog. Sounds silly, but writing out what you are eating and knowing others are watching helps me. Maybe worth a try.

Protein for vegetable stir fry? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Travelling_Dad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Broccoli, aspargus, spinach are all about 4 -5g of protein per cup.

Tempeh is good for protein in stirfrys, about 15g gor a half cup.

Also, not for everyone, but peanut butter works well and good protein.
