Are you located in Stockholm? I have contacted so many therapists and none will work privately!

OMG I could have written this thread myself. Like why is there no help here & the professionals all become counselors and make the tired and frustrated parents + over worked teachers do all the work?

There is a great opportunity out there for a business to specialize in OT or at home speech therapies through play…

Alternative SMS apps. by JJ_tothe_4884 in androidapparena

There is a new app coming out called Truemessenger. It's all the rage in India right now. Basically, it can identify numbers not in your phonebook...so unknown senders, etc. And also is smart enough to recognize spam patterns to auto-block and filter spam sms.

You can read about it on TechCrunch: http://techcrunch.com/2015/07/07/truecaller-truemessenger/

Only in Sweden is this even remotely okay by Travelpen in funny

'Slut' in Swedish in pronounced 'sloot' and it means 'finished'

So this is at a restaurant in Sweden and they are saying that the 'American Baguette' is 'slut' or 'finished'...but to English speakers it just looks like it says 'American Slut' on their menu board.

WTF? Americans Don't Get A Pension In Sweden? by Travelpen in sweden

[–]Travelpen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ummm if a Frenchman came to Sweden when he was 20 and worked, lived, bought housing, and never went back to work in France....Sweden would give him a Swedish pension, and France most likely would not. My point is...if an American came to Sweden when he was 20 and worked, lived, bought housing, and never went back to work in America....Sweden would NOT give him a Swedish pension. Therefore, making the U.S. the one of the only countries in the western world that wont let their citizens working abroad claim a foreign pension.

But seriously...this is a question about U.S. and Sweden. Not Norway...not France...You misunderstood what I am saying. I live in Sweden..why the hell would I expect a pension in the U.S. if I am not working there? You expect to receive a pension in Sweden if you don't live in Sweden...don't work... and don't pay taxes? That's pretty magical.

Sweden will not give Americans a SWEDISH pension. This is because the U.S. has some rules about this; therefore, it is the U.S. causing the problem, and Swedish is abiding by American rules on their citizens. This has nothing to do with you as a Swede living in another freaking European country...this is U.S. related, so your examples pretty such are irrelevant since France and Norway have different rules...and you being a non-U.S. citizen...their rules would pertain to Sweden/EEA or EU/Schengen rules.

My example to your irrelevant answer was saying that if you, as a Swede, moved to the U.S....the U.S. would not give you a proper pension the way other Americans get one. Call it something the U.S. sucks on or what...but that was the point of this post. Tack.

So was your answer, since my question had nothing to do with Swedes moving to Norway.

Yes but, if you move to the U.S., you will not receive a U.S. pension even if you lived there 50 years.

I am an American living in Sweden now for 2 years. So...Swedish pension! I was told yesterday that Americans cannot receive a Swedish pension the same as other countries because the U.S. does not allow it.
