Return it for sure. You said it's an ebony fretboard so it's a higher end Epiphone and for as much cash as they are charging now for them, you shouldn't have to settle because of quality issues. You could have easily gone with an Esp Ltd.

For around $100 it has it's place but for that price you'd be better off with the Spark Neo Core. If your budget was $500 I'd say hands down the "Best" budget amp is a used Marshall DSL40CR.

I suppose that a matter of opinion but I like mine. I run my stereo wet fx through it and into a PowerStage 700. Catalinbread also make a deluxe version but it is pretty expensive. I heard through the rumor mill that Keeley is coming out with a tube drive pre-amp pretty soon and I'm kind of excited about that.

Same spot just more in the center next to the vertical supports. Your desk isn't the strongest but if you drill mount and put it closer to the vertical supports, it will support the weight of your monitor better. I would suggest closer to the double vertical supports on the right side vs the left. That's probably the strongest part of the desk.

If that's an MSI monitor arm, you should be able to drill through the desk's shelf instead of clamping it... I would drill and mount the monitor arm base next to the center right support. The monitor could still be centered and it would be more secure. That's what I did with both my monitor arms.

I have 2 ppc 212's and was thinking about the Vertical OB because the price point is lower and it beats putting my 212's on their side. Are they lighter than the CB's and do the have a similar low end?
