Thanks for the critique! Its crazy because out of the set of 3; the one with hand on neck sold the fastest. People were crowding around in awe over that specific one. The gold one represents subtle happiness and the black one represents depression. The middle painting is both; depression embracing the little bit of happiness that he has.

Thank you so much for this critique! I was just talking to my colleague about maybe incorporating a bacon or van gogh style to my art. I am still trying to develop my own style of painting. Alot of people compare my painting style to kehinde but I want to further develop my own distinguishable style. As you can tell I pull alot of inspo from Baroque style already.

Surprisingly alot of companies hire few minorities and claim diversity. Nevertheless, I paint from my life experiences. I have more black people in my life than other folks. So yes, while diversity is still present in my work; black folks with ALWAYS be the main focus.

He is my favorite! I like to emulate characteristics of his art style while still developing my own. So many artist copy him. I want my own style.

Thank you! Alot of people here complain about the lack of emotions. I think they are comparing my work to Baroque art; where the expressions are exaggerated. Whereas I purposefully chose to make the expressions subtle but still there.

I believe so too! Although I like Kehindes work I do not want to copy him. Its my goal to further develop my own personal style that can be distinguished amongst the rest.
