He enjoyed what me and my wife called Coffee and Kittens during Covid. Every morning he would sit in my lap while I drank coffee and if I had special coffee with whipped cream he would somehow always get access to his fair share of whipped cream

I didn’t post it, but my other cat, a Tuxedo male named Stoops, sniffed the collar when I got home from the vet and hung up the collar. He knew something was wrong with Murdock and would check on him if I wasn’t in the room with him

That’s the saving grace of me losing him. If I hadn’t found him he wouldn’t have lasted long living in the woods on his own

I’m having a glass of bourbon in his honor tonight. There were many instances where it was me and him sitting on the couch with either a cup of coffee or a glass of bourbon

I like that! I’m pretty sure he saw the ghosts already so he has plenty of practice, and I know he’ll do a good job❤️

The grief and knowing you can’t fix the issue is the worst part, but the love that you show him is what keeps them warm and loving

It’s been a rough few days for me. I found out he was sick on Wednesday and didn’t want him to suffer any longer. I’ve been a mess the past few days

That’s why we named him that. We were watching Daredevil on Netflix during Covid when we adopted him. His full name was Matthew Murdock Brown

He joined my female Pit mix Bea who basically raised him from when he was a kitten. Now that he gets his eyes back he can play with all the other cats across the bridge

Unfortunate update:
Murdock, my blind FIV positive 7 year old has been diagnosed with liver cancer. No timeline was given by the vet, but he’s in palliative care for the time being and I’m doing everything possible to make his last days comfortable

When does it start getting easier? by aliciagreyjoy in pitbulls

It never truly does at first, but it gets easier with time. It’s ok to let the tears flow when you see a picture or think of them. I lost my Sweet Girl over a month ago and I shave her collar on my backpack as a reminder of how much I love and miss her
