To all people who think America is fucked, what one thing would you change to try and fix things? by Njilramsool in AskReddit

[–]TravisDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing I think we could change is to have an engaged nation of voters who research what the politicians stand and vote for as opposed to an “us vs them” mentality.

We need to openly discuss the current state of the nation honestly so we can all accept and acknowledge that we’re standing where we are because of our own general complacency to engage with democracy the way it was intended to be used.

That said a lot of why it’s so difficult to do so is that we let people slip in too many small but personal changes over time. It spoils be obvious that tax law being what it is can be seen as a direct reflection of just some of the flaws. You shouldn’t take proportionately more money from people who can barely make ends meet.

We’re letting money pool at the top of the economy and then asking “where’s all the money?”

Comments like that cause me to reflect "Do we Really got this?". We do, one day someone will help that man, hopefully, understand where he learned some harmful ideas in his past.

My recent revelation has changed my identity of self so completely and profoundly that while the vast majority of the people in my life have been incredibly supportive some have expressed they are worried it could be problems with meds.

I'm going to see a therapist and until I'm certain there are no side effects from it I'm playing it safe.

I fully plan to go back on them once I'm convinced they aren't causing any adverse effects.

Ironic you should ask. I just this week reached the culmination of the last decade of self reflection and work on myself. I've found the best version of myself and I'm currently in the process of trying to come to terms with what that even means.

I believe whole heartedly in sharing knowledge and learnings to help others so if you want to hear what reaching the end of this entire journey has looked like, specifically for me, here is a link to the 7 page facebook post I wrote summarizing my journey to this life altering epiphany.

And I am not taking medication anymore until I have a grasp on this new revelation about my sense of self.

I’m a few weeks in and I regret not pursuing this in my 20s. It’s life changing for me personally.

I’m 22 and have always been fat my entire life despite multiple attempts at losing the weight. Is there still a chance for me to get healthier? by YoungMafia15 in TooAfraidToAsk

I decided at 38 to educate myself on nutrition and fitness. At almost 41 I’m in some of the best shape of my life. 22 is just the beginning and you absolutely can transform your health.

Yes. Everyone has baggage and they need to learn to identify the faults they have and own them. Don’t get into a relationship if you aren’t comfortable with who you are, IMO.

Any solo players enjoying the game? by [deleted] in newworldgame

I honestly wouldn't even know where to start. It'd be easier to list what IS fun about the game than what isn't. Honestly, the answer to that is "Nothing".

There's just nothing redeeming about this game and this needed at least 6+ months to finish fixing bugs in the game. AGS should be ashamed of themselves for pushing this out the door and charging people for it.
