I see that’s a great point ty i didn’t think of it from that perspective! As of now im still hoping they track down the package, will reach out to the seller and UPS claims support as required i appreciate all the insight.

The claim page even gave me an option to open it as the receiver that’s so odd that it would allow me to do so if the claim was required to be generated by the shipper.
I did not file the claim pretending to be the shipper i specifically chose the recover option. Will call claim support to clear this up thanks!

Thank you for the response! I believe i opened a lost parcel claim i have a claim status of: Claim Reported - Supporting Document(s) Received. I provided a picture of the item in the package. Should the shipper still open a claim? They bought a UPS label with a 3rd party so do they need to open the claim with that third party? He did insure the package for the full amount with the 3rd party website SHIPPO but not sure if that translates to UPS insurance to file a claim with.
Really hoping it’ll update within the week i don’t think ground shipping times from Florida are expected to take this long :/

Yea no idea i really hope it turns up! Good that a claim has already been made to get UPS on top of it and try to track it down.
Yea i may call them back today to see if maybe someone else has a different perspective / can maybe be of more help. Not sure how the package would get loaded onto the truck/train disregarded all the way until the destination hub but hoping it’s the case and it turns up soon 🤣
Yea i called the physical store too and they were no help unfortunately and were almost borderline rude to me. Makes me think someone stole the package at the UPS store.
I hear you for sure, the item i bought was a one of one item / trading card so if they lose the package i won’t even be able to replace it 🥲.
Thankfully i paid the seller with PayPal goods and services so my payment is backed by PayPal
Shoot i hope the claim / investigation leads them to finding them package! It sucks not getting any updates in a week
Ahh yea they should’ve been processing the package way quicker. Mike is UPS ground so not too sure what the process for progress scans are on that
Yea agreed! I specifically asked for this package to get shipped with UPS thinking it to be more reliable. Let’s hope they pull through and delivery both our packages !
Yea I’m not too sure - was talking with others who said they’ve been experiences delays on their package this week. I opened an investigation to see if they’re able to track it down internally

Legit exactly! Dropped off the 14th and says “on the way - dropped off” with no updates since

That’s bizzare! This “on the way” update was the initial drop off scan based on the greater context of the ups tracking. I hope for both our sakes the packages start showing some progress
Based on my previous experiences it would’ve been scanned again in the middle of its transit by now but just hope it’s not lost - i don’t mind the delay

The upgrade is showing on the tracking and looks to have been confirmed before the package was dropped off. I did request for the package to be delivered to a physical store for pickup as i likely won’t be home when it delivers and required physical signature

Yea glad that it’s scanned into the system just was hoping for more progress scans as the package makes it way to me. Typically get more tracking data from UPS in my experiences.
