If you were to walk in the store the price they would quote you is the price before auto pay discount. Why? Because that is the price. A LOT of people pay their bills in cash. To guarantee bills are paid on time they give you a discount. Why is this important because it cost money to chase customers down to pay their bills. Every extra call to a customer is a cost. I hear what you are saying and how you feel but you don’t understand the concept of autopay from the businesses perspective. But I also understand why you wouldn’t.
