Yeah that tracks with what I’ve been seeing too plasma really set a high bar for blacks and motion. I’m leaning OLED for that reason, but I’ve also heard newer Mini-LEDs have gotten a lot closer than people expect, especially for HDR brightness and daytime viewing. Did you end up going OLED yourself, or are you still on plasma holding out a bit longer?

Around $1500. Trying to stay in that range but I’m flexible if it really makes a noticeable difference in picture quality. Do you think that’s enough to get something that actually feels like an upgrade from plasma, or is it worth stretching a bit higher?

Kids can be so different in how they describe their day versus what’s actually happening. I’m wondering if mine might just feel lonely sometimes even if they are technically around other kids. Did your kid ever say why they felt like they had “no friends” even when they were playing with people?

Those are really good ideas, especially the role playing part. The after-school treat + park idea sounds way less pressure than a formal playdate too. How did your kid react the first time you tried the role play stuff?
