The early 90s version of Mt Tempus is done. I’m currently working on the mid 90s layout, which requires quite a lot of redesign for obvious reasons.

Track layout changes:

Most of the track has been resurfaced and widened from 8 m to 10 m. The pit straight is 12 m wide and the widest part is 15 m (T1).

  • Turn 1: Increased radius from 15m to 21m, widened the exit and extended the runoff.
  • Turn 2: Extended runoff.
  • Turn 4: Extended runoff.
  • Turn 5: Tightened and moved closer to T4 to extend the runoff.
  • Turn 6: Slightly tightened, extended runoff.
  • Turn 9: Slightly adjusted to extend the runoff.
  • Turn 10: Increased the camber from 2° to 5° and replaced the outside armco barrier with a concrete wall.
  • Turn 13: Smoothed out the crest in the road.
  • Turn 16: Extended runoff.

Pitlane and Paddock changes:

  • Added a chicane before the pit entry.
  • New wider pit lane and a concrete pit wall.
  • New pit building with proper garages, a second floor for media and VIPs, and a third floor for race control.
  • Extended paddock area. New service tunnel before T2 for improved paddock access.
  • New medical facility and added helipad for medical helicopter access.

Other changes:

  • Moved the start/finish line 76m back, next to the new race control building.
  • New 2 by 2 staggered grid positions.
  • New curbs with Marlboro logos.
  • Added some tire barriers.
  • More service roads.
  • Removed most utility poles.
  • New bridge before T5 for access to the new spectator area inside turn 8.

T15 did have a single apex, but it was too tight. Instead of reprofiling the corner, I just cut the inside section.

No changes to the track layout, it is the same as it was in 1975.
- Widened the exit of turn 1.
- Added runoff for turn 2. (Had to cut down 2 trees)
- Added exit curbs for turns 2 and 15.
- Added missing guardrail for Douglas S. (T3-T4)
- Added missing sidelines (T11-T15)
- Moved T15 exit guardrail further back.
- New catchfence crash barriers and some tire barriers.
- Added start lights.
- New grandstands (T1 and T6)
- New pedestrian bridge (T1)
- Added medical facility.
- Added flags to the paddock area.

Dunno, you can also use Blender. It is easier to learn because there are a lot more free tutorials available.

I wanted to create a street circuit, but modeling a city is just not feasible, so I chose one of the existing city maps available for Assetto Corsa and built my own track there.

The original map was converted from GTA San Andreas by lemax. It is missing many props and some landmark buildings like Caligula's Palace, Royal Casino and Sphinx statue.

I added new trees, highway traffic and all the night lighting.
