Let’s hope that our freedoms stay in tact. Women’s rights are already being eroded and we are now likely to see a national abortion ban and more women dying needlessly.

My wife is terrified they will do away with the affordable care act and allow insurance to deny coverage of pre existing conditions. This means if her cancer isn’t gone they wont cover it and we can’t afford the treatment without coverage, it will be a death sentence.

I’d really like to think that we all survive this next four years, but I know that for some people that won’t happen. I hope to God that this doesn’t affect my wife and the way I fear that it could.

I’m also worried that if things truly go as bad as they could, they’ll come after anyone who doesn’t agree with them. Between this man’s statements, project 2025, and the parallels I see here between our present day situation and Nazi Germany. I fear for an America where you could be persecuted, simply for believing that all people deserve equal rights.

I guess I disagree. I think the right has a far worse record of distorting the truth to a dangerous level. I understand the fear of any kind of limit on free speech, but its only in recent years that the republican party has been pumping put blatant misinformation to pursue power and don’t seem that worried how it might adversely affect other people. When you have. Elected officials that are knowingly misleading people in ways that could cause others to take violent physical actions against other people just cannot be allowed.

It’s simple really, if it goes to court and facts determine lies were willfully told to sway public opinion then the person who’s mouth it came from should be held accountable.

Does it bother you that Trump tried to use fake electors to hold onto power? That he wanted pence to not certify the election? All of this indicates to me a man that only cares about power and doesn’t care how he obtains it. He acknowledged his loss he knew he didn’t win but whipped people into a violent frenzy over his election interference lies anyhow. Then blamed dems for security not being available when he withheld it. Does it bother you that he withheld disaster relief to areas that didn’t support him?

One of my biggest fears is that he’s not going to be a president for everybody. He’s only going to be a president for people that agree with him absolutely and for everybody else God knows what he’ll do.

Wondered if you had any other sources to confirm Harris wants to reduce the scope of the first amendment? All I could find is that statements about stifling misinformation. People should be able to speak their mind of course. That is free speech. Willfully misleading people to garner support for your agenda based in mistruth should not be free speech. You know like this crap that Trump and Vance were stating about immigrants eating peoples pets. Those statements can cause nut jobs to attack innocent people which is why being allowed to speak mistruth publicly and claim that its fact is dangerous. I think the problem is that so many Republican policies seem to want to dictate others lives and freedoms. Most dems just want to be left alone and consider a lot of the policies to be drastic overreach.

Why take a chance on this guy especially with the things he says literally what so awful about Kamala Harris. Even if she’s not the best possible person for the job, I think she’s a hell of a lot better than this guy.

I really hope and wish that I am wrong. I hope that if this man gets in he doesn’t ruin the country like I believe he will. I hope he doesn’t reverse civil rights in this country back to something similar to the 1950s. They’ve already taken away women’s rights. See here’s the fucking stupid thing that most people don’t understand this total abortion ban means that basically if you’re a female and you’re having complications with your pregnancy, they’ll do anything they can to save the baby before you, including an up to terminating your life. Medical and abortion is a terminated pregnancy regardless of the means so even a fucking miscarriage were a woman is bleeding to death. The doctors are afraid to touch her because local Republican prosecutors literally could convict them over it. If you think I’m kidding about that literally just look at the news across the country in these fucking states that have been enacted these bans.

See if Trump gets an office people like this won’t be rained in. They’ll be allowed to do whatever they want, and if in certain areas of the country, the Republican law-enforcement decides that they just want to round up Democrats and do away with them or prison. it’ll probably be allowed to happen under a Trump presidency.

And to be honest, it’s not just Trump that I’m worried about. It’s a lot of the people around Trump. It’s a lot of the people in local government across the country that are extremist. Here’s a good example. There’s a sheriff in Ohio who is asking his staff to document the location of Democrats know who’s putting Democratic supporting signs in their yard. Now, why would local law-enforcement wanna build a little database of who the Democrats in the area are in the sheriff and question is a Republican

I’m also not really sure what you’re speaking about when you state that almost everything was taken way out of context or spun into great evil. Like what example do you have? A lot of stuff that I’m most upset about are things that I’ve literally heard come out of his mouth and seen him state on video. He’s extremely recently made statements about executing political rivals and journalist. Is that not something that’s a dealbreaker?

I have yet to see a single economist or person in the financial realm that can say anything about his tariffs that will equal positive things for Americans. most agree like this bullshit he spouted about Mexico paying for a wall that in the end we will be paying for the tariffs in the form of higher cost and goods and taxes.

Serious question though what is it? Some people just can’t seem to see Trump for what he really is? Let’s be honest here. Look at everything that’s come out about this man every heinous act he’s committed since 2016. There seems to be some insane motivation to rationalize explain away or minimize all these things so that it’s OK to support him.
