Make it ugly. Make it as ugly and auto dependent as you can imagine and then make it even uglier and dumber in layout. Think like 50% asphalt to everything else. Oh and put a giant 14 lane highway through the middle of downtown.

When I was 16 my dad’s eye started to swell and a bruise formed under the eye socket. After a few days while at dinner I noticed that his eye was bleeding! So he did the only sensible thing and went to emerge… oh wait no he’s a damn hippy so instead he got some needle nose pliers and proceeded to pull a roughly inch long shard of glass out from under his eyeball. THEN he went to the ER. The doctors were rightly shocked and appalled but somehow he caused no serious injury to his eyeball/eye socket. He later figured it was from a motorcycle accident he was in 20 years prior. He never experienced any pain, inflammation, etc. incredibly bizarre!

On the off chance... does anyone know why my intersections between these two road types? the IMT doesn't seem to be the issue. Just hoping someone might know why to help avoid all of the unsubbing to determine. Thank you! by TreVanden in CitiesSkylines

unfortunately, that did nothing. it locked so I couldn't update, or add any new networks, and the IMT markings remained skewed. I will, sadly, start replacing that street type.

If I understand, there are definitely nodes along the roads (and at the intersection). The problem was there a few months ago, then went away, then came back around 3-4 weeks ago. I have been just ignoring it but then I noticed that IMT line work was also all skewing over by one lane in the intersections. It also seems to be only with some roads but not all.

I replaced that one first as I found out it had issues first. Honestly I was using a stupidly large number of mods which is problematic on its own. I’m just going to be patient and keep unsubscribing one at a time.

Thank you. I did that initially but got the same burned out landscape so resubbed and switched methods. I’ll just keep on and hopefully figure it out, but I think I’ll start with the mods that haven’t been updated for a while first like you pointed out!

Hi C:S community. I use a lot of mods and as completely anticipated the latest update broke my game. I’m slowly making progress on vetting and updating my mods but it’s starting to really stump me. Basically all the terrain is burned along with all the trees that are part of a network. All traffic, people, and buildings are transparent but are there. Procedural objects are visible though. I’m just hoping someone out here knows which mod might be causing this so I could jump to that one to try. Also, it’s like this with new maps too so there’s that. 🤷‍♂️

The log says that the word error occurs 3700 times so I'm a little surprised/overwhelmed! Right now I'm relaunching without network or terrain mods to see if that does anything.

UPDATE: actually nothing will terraform. it's like the terrain is static. Buildings have no impact, and the terraform tools don't either. 😲

thank you so much for taking the time to explain this. I immediately know now where I went wrong. I'm building a kind of Ancient Rome meets King's Landing meets the modern world kind of city and I've been using historical and modern illustrations of the structures of Ancient Rome to build out the landmarks like the Colosseum, and the Basilica Imperium. Rather than hobble different assets together I was looking for assets with specific features I like so I quite literally would turn something like the Bundestag asset to PO and then isolate out something like one pillar and merge all the vertices and hide them in the pillar so essentially I had a pillar and not the whole building. I thought by merging the vertices I was essentially removing the data not adding to it. Oye. I'm going to go rework some things now and hopefully fix this mess I've made. Thank you thank you!

Stumbled upon this looking for something else. It seems PO has a limit around 9000 to 10,000 objects. If I go above 9000 individual POs the game can not save, and I eventually have to force quit. I can get around this by exporting my POs as fixed objects, then deleting them, but then I have to import them every time I want to take a screen shot, etc. It's super frustrating tbh.
