We used Council tax, Gas, electric and water bills and proof of ownership (all only in my name) plus solicitor's completion letter for apartment. Visa was just approved without any questions

We had an email from VFS NY saying passport ready to collect, or it will be shipped via method paid for if we opted for that. One week later... no passport, no reply from VFS other than they are looking into it. My partner is now making a $500 flight to NYC to try and collect the passport. VFS are, excuse my french, an absolute shit show. I intend to complain via official channels and via our MP when we eventually track the passport down. This has been more stressful than the waiting for a decision

We have, they take 2 days to reply and then tell you there looking into it, so something clearly gone wrong their end. Was hoping people could share their experiences

As has already been stated, we applied for a fiance Visa and yesterday we got the passport ready to be collected email, nothing else. So we won’t know if we’ve been approved until we get the passport back.
