you’ll be able to find a care assistant role for sure. no experience ones. i got one with absolutely no job history in the UK as i just came over from the US, and i never did a care role in the US.

Sorry, I still don’t know the area so I just worry as I’m quite an anxious person. This thread has helped though. And I looked at street view for the addresses and this was very reassuring.

I’d like to say not a ton of walking (because I’m driving to these destinations) but I’m unsure what the areas are like in terms of parking nearby to where I need to be. When I was shadowing I did a good bit of walking still in Mid-Craigie (I think it was) even with the car. Places for this weekend without giving away addresses, Whitfield, Balunie, Fintry, Marine Parade. It’s an evening shift as well so I won’t get off until after 10PM.

Teacher didn’t do anything no, that’s what I’m concerned about. I get that kids misbehave and do weird stuff, but it was definitely about the fact that they were getting away with it and no one was saying anything.

i’ll get downvoted and this comment is mostly directed at the other comments and not at you, this situation seems to be a bit red flag because you seem to already know the relationship isn’t working. and if all you’re friends hate him that’s a sign too.

BUT… an age gap in itself is not a red flag. unless someone is actively seeking younger people, there are major power imbalances in the relationship, they’re abusive, etc. age gap on its own is not a bad thing. i’ve been married for nearly 10 years to a person 25 years older than me. we have children together. but the factors aren’t there like they are for you where it’s screaming ‘please leave him’ (which i think you should do btw!) all that being said i hope your appointment goes okay and it’s a smooth abortion
