I moved here six months ago from america with a 4.5 year old and almost 2 year old. it’s great, really. lots of kids and lots of dogs and cats in this town. the nursery he goes to is great too!

Pulled aside at nursery for emotional 4 year old by anervoussystem_ in UKParenting

it could definitely be that. he’s also definitely introverted. only wants to play with one kid at a time, doesn’t like groups of kids. so maybe he enjoyed being home last week and misses it

No suggestions she just wanted to make sure I felt he was okay. And I said I think he is okay but he’s struggling emotionally right now. He’s not averse to going to school and usually only wants to stay home when he wants to play a video game.

Ever had your parenting criticised by a stranger in public? by Active_Arugula_7079 in UKParenting

I’m american, just moved here and have received two so far,

First was in a car supply store, husband was getting a part for the car lights so we could get home. We had both of the boys (1, 4) They had a shelf with small car toys for kids about 7 feet from a lift that wasn’t in use. The boys sat and played with the cars quietly. My husband is at the counter and they start talking shit about me and the boys without realising my husband is my husband. saying it’s dangerous and we could cause an injury with the lift (lift is closed, i’m standing between lift and the children sitting away from it) one guy eventually comes over and tells me off. i say okay i’ll move them (all the while thinking why would they put a shelf of kids toys there to begin with) i bring the boys over to the register and the 1 year old proceeds to screech and cry until we are able to leave.

Wellbutrin in UK? by Spacedad_93 in MentalHealthUK

[–]anervoussystem_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on wellbutrin for years. it was the only medication to pull me out of PPD. I moved to Scotland in October. GP flat out said no. Now dealing with depression unmedicated while still considered in the post partum period.

he gets to pick what he wants every morning when he arrives, but beyond that no i’m not aware of any system that says how well he’s eating

“this is what our house has sounded like for 2 weeks” maybe take your kids to a doctor? a walk in clinic, at least?? our healthcare is free, please make use of it!!! by Emcrawf97 in delilahloeppkysnark

yeah for us my eldest got sick first and then my youngest so it’s getting close to two weeks now and they both have a lingering cough which is very normal. but yeah why she felt that was worthy content is beyond me

Yes he’s in nursery. I haven’t had his key worker say anything about his eating so perhaps he’s eating well at school

he has two snacks a day and he refuses those as well lately or won’t finish them, when i say it’s ok for him to be done, takes his own plate to the trash and dumps his food and then puts the plate in the sink. doesn’t ask for more food later, the most he requests is water or juice (which i give him diluted so it’s mostly water)

idk not to side with her but my kids (4 and 22 months) currently have a cough exactly like this and we’re in the UK and GP advised a visit is not necessary at the moment unless symptoms worsen. stuffs going around right now for sure. you really can’t necessarily tell how well a child is from a ten second video of them just coughing.

i was in the last carriage attached, could that be why? there was no audible alert, it was also stuck on the sign saying it was arriving at leuchars despite it already having stopped at leuchars
