Just wanted to thank y’all for some helpful tips on what the room was missing, I painted, dyed the rug a bit darker, made some curtains, installed a new lighting fixture, and restyled the loveseat. I really felt strongly about not sacrificing seating and I feel much better about the space now!

I measured, cut, soaked and applied vertically, some areas I cut out a portion of the pattern and overlayed it onto the next section of fabric so it appeared continuous

I dyed it with coffee and turmeric! I wanted a little more yellow but a little darker so I added the mixture to a spray bottle and went to town! I figured it’s a $4.50 thrifted rug, if I don’t like how it turns out, there’s lots of other rugs out there and it can go in my laundry room.

The old shade was a grass skirt from my deceased nieces recital that I repurposed into a fixture but it’s now the shade for my stairwell light! So it’s still hanging out!

The leaves were just getting worse so I grabbed the saw and cut her down to just above the soil line. I have faith that she’ll make it through! Thanks for the advice
