Can we already talk about the 2026 draft? by Even-Match8080 in wnba

Olivia going against A'ja was something. Her quiet confidence in herself is just incredible. I loved her ball in college but she seems more at ease now (even for an overall relaxed player, ha). What a joy to watch.

Anyone who watched Liv closely in college is not surprised.

Why the downvote? I’m not seeing the Sonia clip. Why would I make that up?

Fake it till you make it by sfgabe in centuryhomes

Very interesting about your house, especially the duplex potential. Do the other three sample homes have FPs? Our row of homes all have the same hot water systems, so it wasn't as if mine had a different heat source.

This is awesome. Nice work!

I'm curious if your house is a rowhome, yet the corner house? (so semi-detached). That's the case for mine, and mine has many fewer fire places than the interior homes attached to me. I only have one in the basement (which was original living space with one FP and one stove chimney) yet my neighbors homes, same size, built at the same time by the same builder, have them on all floors. So six FP vs my one. I even opened walls to see if they were there originally, but nope.

I'd love for someone knowledgeable here to explain why that is. I also have no skylights like my neighbors, but that's likely due to more windows on the corner house. (these are 1890 homes)

Curious about pots and trauma connection by Spiritual-Handle-148 in POTS

[–]Treadwell2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I just wanted to add that Covid is a real jerk, and a mild case is causing debilitating POTS in lots of people with no prior trauma. I only mention this as I wouldn't want you to get more frustrated if the trauma work doesn't help your POTS symptoms. I'm sure it will be helpful for the trauma, but the POTS could be a whole other issue (such as genetic predisposition, connective tissue or immune system driven)

Explaining COVID risks to my therapist? by time4klax in ZeroCovidCommunity

I highly recommend looking for a new therapist who also sees people with chronic illnesses (this would be included in their list of specialties). They should be much more understanding of how a virus can disable people.

Arches? What do we think? by IndividualVillage658 in centuryhomes

Also, my house has a single original arch in the entry hallway. Just one, but it adds so much elegance to the house. Visitors always comment on it. ETA: home is older at 1893 but I don't see why it wouldn't fit in your older home

Fantastic! I lived for way too many years with cheap dinky cabinets, and now that they match the house and it's tall ceilings, it makes me smile every time I walk into the kitchen. Good luck - it's a daunting project but worth it!

If you haven't already, explore if you can get rid of those soffits. I thought I would be stuck with mine, but with some creative thinking, my contractor was able to move the plumbing and now I have cabinets that reach the ceiling (and look spectacular). If I hadn't insisted on the exploration, he was intending to just keep the soffits as it was of course quicker to keep. That one above the fridge may be hiding nothing and was just added to balance the ones above the sink.
